As I've pointed out and people seem to keep missing......Xbox1 dev tools are complete and utter crap. They are as bad as PS3's first dev tools and we all know how good those were.

MS needs to fix their tools asap if they have any hope to keep up with PS4......as I said guess who can do that......and the answer isn't MS ;)

Actually I don't think he did at the time. MS stated a couple years ago they wanted to either let go of DX cycle or let it go; move away from it.

That's before they completely and utter foobared their tools for Xbox1 - this was before steam decided to get ****y because MS wanted to keep people in their walled garden *windows* instead of letting steam just do its thing.

That's why steam os come about; MS first time in a long time on PC side is feeling heat......so to try and keep that garden; they need to fix their tools and up their game on PC......

Done and done with AMD's help....only reason this has happened is AMD owns the consoles

Greg.......context ;P lol at the time was there a DX12? no; now I can't say 100% but friends that are in the game industry basically told me the same thing; no DX 12.....DX is kinda dead man walking.

Now with all the pressure around.......suddenly they'll have API in less than a year? guess where MS got it from and from who.....;)

but if we're going to be literal......yes Roy's statement is false now; but we cannot say with 100% fact he lied at the time; because if he did MS could have hit AMD with a suit......

I only see black and white and Roy told a big fat lie and everyone is assuming that DX12 will be Mantle. I hope it is in away, as it has been out since January and plenty of time to be worked on but wouldn't that be AMD selling out? I will wait for the official news before jumping to conclusions but if mantle is the basics for DX12, then good stuff.
