DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

Tried a wheel with this last night, couldn't get on with it at all. Other sim games are fine. I used to great on a pad at Wales, Monaco etc but lost my touch.
 
G27 and default afaik. Haven't really fiddled with anything.

I see on your videos you grip ANY surface, even snow, extremely well at high speeds. I spin out on the simplest of corners.

okay i use default allow game to adjust settings.make sure centering is on.

my degrees is 200. upto 540 preference.

in-game i have default but just dont have soft lock on and in vibration i turn down torque alignment. that has a pendulum effect when doing over jumps.

remember that all cars/surfaces react differently and i practice a lot !

there are many g27 users and configs on steam and on the forums.just have a look.

i would try a easy car to drive until you get used to a wheel. a 2010 car is pretty easy.

Just had an update, 153MB

Is there any way to fix the grass on AMD cards, as its just a flickering pixelated mess :(

Its fine on Nvidia, and its a bloody AMD game!

I've also noticed the grass particularly seems to be in horizontal layers.
If I do notice it though it's a good indicator that i'm not driving nearly fast enough heh :)
 
did this yesterday and to me probably my fav run i done since owning this game.

the peugeot 205 t16 is a monster to control on the edge and sweet lamb aka the body bag :D combined is probably the hardest thing in the game to do fast.

so setting a new PB by nearly 3 secs and #2 in the world was really happy with this run.

to highlight from starting this game my first run with this car and sweet lamb was which i though good 6:20 ish :D

so i basically shaved a minute off it with practice.

done 3 different views to show how clean the run was and i dont think honestly i could do it much better . :cool:


 
Had a quick run, very early this morning at 3am.. shhh! On germany I am fine, can keep the car in control etc. I used a Fiesta with a gamepad. I think the problem for me is non-tarmac surfaces and throttle control. I give it the beans too much lol

@Dg, that jump at 1.13 could have gone so wrong lol
