DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

Damn PP is nails, prefer the gravel to the full tarmac, much more forgiving.
For any wusses still on Auto gearbox, I have found that manual is a must for these PP cars, Auto holds the gears way too long and is so slow on the upshift, makes the car feel nearly undrivable.

I noticed this, it red lines in each gear for at least 1-2 seconds. Very annoying.

Here was my first run.

Tried turning on Advanced Blending...

Menu runs at 14 FPS and game flickers like made. I guess it's buggy.

Edit. Turning Shader Detail down to it's lowest brings the FPS back up but it looks poor.

Wow, what a difference PP is! the cars got some turbo lag, and I love how the front of the car lifts up when turbo kicks in, I am losing it everywhere, it's extremely difficult, but enjoying it :)

I don't know if this still works DiRT Rally - £17.02 with code:RALLY on Gamesplanet.de
someone posted it in here about a week ago

if you don't have a wheel the game is likely to hard to enjoy.
I did 2 days with a keyboard before plugging in a wheel though.

Game is awesome once you find good wheel settings.
I finally settled on 325 degrees of rotation any higher or lower and the steering just felt wrong and going in a straight line felt all weird like the car wasn't turning with aaa 1:1 ratio with my wheel input

gunna have some more practice at pikes later. it sure is a challenge :D

if i can master the tarmac bit im not too worried about the dirt section.

i did twitter today to one of the devs about the auto gears on pikes and over revving and the under steer though. seems slightly exaggerated.

Thanks arknor will check it out when I finish work.
I have a Logitech dfgt,so hoping that will work okay with it.
I'm thinking at that price its worth picking up now even if I only play a little of it before release as it will go up in price on release and will be a good few months again until its £17 or below or?

yea many of us use DFGT's including me and according to codemasters it's the most used wheel by far according to their survey.

I wouldn't expect to see it cheap for a very long time

i don't do group A yet . i will do all. just been mainly doing the group b stuff practicing tracks and the 60s mini cooper. i also leveled the 2010 fiesta.

so thats where you will see most of my times.

just started doing the masters for the mini. won it with the pug 205 t16. so then one more for the achievement.3 masters with 3 different cars.

then casual other stuff.

i do have a soft spot for group b rally stuff though. it makes the other cars seem avg.so fast and fun.

had a few goes in the subaru but nothing fast times wise. think i only done the subaru on sweet lamb.
