DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

finally finished the stages of my rally and got a sweet 118k :D
Bought the audi for pikes peak and lol at the twitchy handling.
might have to alter my wheel rotation to about 350+ for that bad boy.

whacked a barrier at the first hairpin and lost the rear spoiler :D
 
sadly that code doesnt work at gamesplanet.de anymore.
shall be waiting for the next deal along i guess,just got assetto corsa so will play that till a deal comes up.

my previous best time was 5:46 just done 5:36:803 :cool:

the real funny thing is i did a double barrel roll and carried on :p gotta be 1/2/3 in world with that time also.
 
Anywhere this going cheap?

Spent way too much on games and computer stuff this month but even after the games I've bought i find myself having a nose in here.

Shame the £17 is no longer on. CD Key searching time i think.
 
Dave tbh its one of those titles thats worth every penny which is hard to say over current games.

pikes peak time getting better 9:45 got a penalty on last corner of 15 secs . so with practice under 9 should be regular. long gears and the pug seem best for me.
 
yep. yes i can make up 6-10 secs. i been talking with number 1 in world today and he says his 5:30 is best he can do. i know i can do atleast that now but its just getting through the sections at that speed.

all it takes is the smallest pebble rock at that speed and its over :D
 
Tell me about it! I will do really well until the start of the 3rd sector and then it all goes pete tong and then make up all my time until the end where it goes wrong again. I'm going to give it another go tonight and see how far away from your time i get.
 
well first two sections on that track i can go as fast as 16 secs up :D that's two up on that video . then take in the barrel rolls and a couple of corners i could do better.

i say 5-6 secs better is doable. a god run no mistakes possible 8-10 but that would be nigh on flat out not one mistake :D

thats stock aswell . so with gearing changes and car tweaks could maybe touch 8 secs quicker.
 
I'll end up buying this later today.

I like the idea of racing games but always quickly get bored of circuit racing. I thoroughly enjoyed the rally stuff in previous games but there was never enough.

Wish i hadn't sold my Thrustmaster T500RS now.

Great vids DG, that will be a target but no doubt i'll be way off.
 
Finally made it to the Pro leagues :D using the Group A Subaru, something just clicked in to place last night whilst I was playing it and I'm finishing top 3 almost every race now.

I tweaked my Xbox-One controller settings to 35:0 so it's no where near as twitchy.
 
got this last week and got the driving force gt setup again (its been a while) . The game seems good I have not won an event yet, seem to finish 2nd/3rd. I occasionally do get 1st on certain stages. Having spent 9 hours in game I do find it a bit repetitive. I have not tried pikes peak yet though. Personally I prefer the shorter tracks.
 
i struggle in the stratos myself but not driven it much.:p

weldon855 join a league or try to beat pb times. a objective always makes things more interesting. once you learn the tracks and cars more and can bomb round it becomes a lot better.
