Im ****ed off with the Micro stuttering in WoW and Aion with my 4870x2 so I will be getting a 5870 asap to hopefully see the end of this annoying problem.
What res do you play at?
squeeze that cpu even more, at least 3.6ghz this will help significantly
i also find 64-bit gaming much more smoother then 32-bit, infact normally larger frame increases

My monitors native res is 1920x1200, but I can get micro stutters at all res and gfx settings on both games with every cat driver release. XP 32bit is the only OS I get it the least with, XP 64 bit and Vista 64 bit see the problem get even worse.
If the 5870 doesnt sort the issue Im going to replace the rest of the sub systems next.
Im running 4GB of 1066 DDR2, Q6600 at 3GHZ and the 4870x2 all on a Blizz Formula P35 mobo. Using Sasmsung F1 1 Terabyte drives as well.
yes, but the games i played with a difference:
gta iv
devil may cry 4
fuel
crysis
i all saw differences, mostly gta
Wouldnt it be great if OCUK put the cards on sale tommorow and shipped them out tommorow for next day delivery that way we would get the cards on the 23rd release date, that way NDA isnt broken becuse its passed and release date isnt broken becuse you got the cards on release day...
but i think thats to much to ask LOL like that would ever happen then again it hasnt ever happened has it heh, wishfull thinking lol
The only game that has a 64bit executable there is Crysis....the other ones ran in 32bit so claiming they ran faster is a bit silly.
But they wouldn't be able to tell you anything about what you were buying or confirm the price you were paying.
You would have to do something like this.
According to our industry sources, the creators and publishers of Dirt 2 received quite big chunk of cash to make the game DirectX 11 capable.
Don’t expect any miracles, as developers will only get some minor things enabled and knowing how desperate the gaming industry is these days, they gladly accepted the opportunity to get some free cash for exchange for a few effects in DirectX 11.
ATI desperately need to push the sales of its heavily overpriced DirectX 11 cards that are supposed to launch on September 23rd (two days from press time) and having games such as Dirt 2 and Stalker 2 might help.
The trouble is that Dirt comes only after DirectX 11 official launch which is Windows 7 launch set for October 23rd and our sources have told that Dirt might actually be pushed back at least for December, leaving ATI hanging in there until the launch.
haha
