shouldnt we have word by now of official pricing, or do we still have to wait until tomorrow. im not going to get too excited to find the 5870 is something like £370 or something.

these Radeon cards also look a bit cheap and nasty to me....too blingy , just a personal thing
am i the only one who cannot see much difference between the DX10 and DX11?

no one else has produced a DX11 card or are going to from the sounds coming from the Nvidia camp.
And the problems reported by Nvidia regarding Yields they wont get them sorted this side of xmas surely?
as for being faster. we'll soon see tomorrow.
Erm - because that's what they did last year with the 4850 and 4870 cards?
so this is now not so much about how good the 58XX is, but more about srquealing in glee at Nvidias alledged problems? whatever floats your boat mate.
RRP = USD 400 for a 5870 1Gb
USD400 / FX 1.63 = 245.40
GBP 245.40 Plus VAT at 15% = GBP282.20.
Then add your rip-off factor of choice.
so whose the loser here ?................us lot
4850 and 4870 were slower and less feature packed than their NVidia counterparts, if they'd charged the same as or more than NVidia nobody would have bought them.

well how about £230 information from a reliable and high up the chain source
From what i've heard they will be selling for around £280 + vat, so ~£320, for the 5870 that is.

I heard a mouse squeak in the dx11 pic
look the same to me too, emperors new clothes comes to mind
Indeed, which is why Nvidia updated the 260 with the 216 variant, to go up against the 4870..What? 4850, 4870 were much better than the 9600gt, 9800gtx out at the time.
I hope you're not comparing the 260/280's - they released AFTER the 48xx series. So what I said is true - ATI relased better cards for less than the CURRENT Nvidia offerings.
