Do you even know how ATI version their drivers? the 9.9's are version 8.65, meaning the 8.66 RC's are basically the 9.10's

Check your CCC if you have an ATI card and you'll see the versioning.

I know a lot more about ATI driver versions than you do.

I'm going to shut up anyway, there's two good reasons why this is heading nowhere. ;)

Catalyst 8.66 RC6 drivers...what do you think the other review sites are using..??..Catalyst 8.66 RC6 drivers...0_o...tomshardware, fairly well respect site as well, so yeah, I believe they are the drivers all other sites are using and the review is accurate.

Apparently, I'm slightly misinformed. :(

In material of that though, I truly think it's best to wait till the reviews are officially released and then a thread dedicated for those reviews. Keeping everything else in this thread until then.

It says AMD Catalyst 8.66 RC6 & AMD Catalyst 9.9 and in the drivers section. Not quite sure what to make of that.

It is a bit odd to see the 4870X2 beating it in any scenario.

When the review was up the very first time, it only actually said the Catalyst 8.66 RC6 drivers. They must have just added the Catalyst 9.9 set.

maybe noise/heat/power

looking at benches though, crossfire scaling will hopefully improve as a 285sli really does keep up with it, which is tbh v dissappointing

Regarding the review, I think surely it must be genuine, who would go to effort of putting together such a comprehensive fake review to be posted the night before the nda is lifted?

5870 X2
Will have 4GB.
Probably be clocked around 800mhz
Probably will have 512-Memory bus
Probably will be very expensive and really fast.
+ less power/less heat/more speed.

I'm not to keen on the exhausting of hot air on the 5870, according to Toms review, most of the air is exhausted back in to the case through the ports at the rear of the card, similar to the 295.
