Looks very close between SLI GTX 285 and crossfire HD5870 in crysis

Not a fan personally of 8x AA comparisons... while arguably it looks better on ATI - nVidia does a lot better job of smoothing out the jaggies you actually notice when playing... infact I've always held that 4x AA on nVidia is similiar to 8x on ATI for actually dealing with the jaggies you actually notice ingame, rather than what looks nice in a screenshot... and the performance difference IMO backs that up.

I don't think crysis really is favoured to nvidia these days on single gpu cards but when multi gpu setups are used sli seems to have the upper hand. If you look at the 4890 v the gtx285 results they are pretty close.

I prefer ATI over Nvidia for IQ, so I use as much eyecandy as possible.

Actually I ramp up all settings as far as I can on any rig. If you can spare the FPS you may as well IMO.

Overall IQ is another matter... maybe it just works for my perception better - but I can get away with much lower AA settings on nVidia and not be bothered by jaggies - and this is from testing similiar spec machines (4870 v 260GTX) connected via a KVM to the same display.
