Im sorry but that is major :D :D

I wish I had the money to get a couple more monitors. :(

Just looked at some people's prices of the older cards...jeez they were nuts back then to have them at those prices...and I thought £333 was a lot for my 4870X2 when I bought it...and yet to this day it still remains the most expensive PC component I have ever paid for...:p go figure...and I bet the new 5870 2GB wont come close (at least here's hoping :D)

Has to be remembered though at the time the 2900xt was coming out a certain website no names being mentioned made them sound like the second coming and swayed quite a few sales. I am not too worried about ati pricing certainly not as much as i would worry with nvidia and while i would like to think nvidia have woken up i just can't help feeling they will releae gt3xx be a bit faster then the 5xxx series and charge more for it. Hope i am wrong and they do compete on price as well as everything else.

hd2900xt was 400$ MRSP, so its the same as me getting a hd5870 card now..... i don't feel these 400$ cards offer the best value for money really, 300$ i think is the sweet price point for performance/price

Bloody long card, considering it's not the top version either...

Always find it amusing when people say stuff like that, how can you say it's a long card when you have nothing else in the picture to compare the scale?

This is the 5870 next to a 4890, hardly much longer at all.
