Distasteful vegan TV ad

You are wrong

Why are you trying to argue something which has been proven by different fields of science.

It is only modern science which has changed it's tune for £££ reasons

Fruit/veg are seasonal and can only grow naturally in set climates etc.

We are not chimps why do people who do not know what they are talking about come out with this same nonsense.

Provide one proper controlled study which shows a person who eats a meat only diet "not going to end well" I already know you can't.

Are You genuinely saying that eating an entirely meat based diet is better than eating a balanced diet?

Apparently the Mediterranean diet is regarded as the best
its ok if you can stick to it religiously, but it is dull as dishwater
my bloods, BP and weight made small changes but nothing dramatic and I couldn't stick to it

carnivore has been the most dramatic changes in all 3 and so easy to stick to, because who doesn't like bacon (home made of course)

if you are overweight and/or have metabolic issues (pre/diabetes) then it isn't going to sort any of those out as its too heavy on carbs
if you want to lose weight on it then you have to heavily restrict calories and then you're hungry all the time and craving like mad

I guess you have to watch out for long term health issues. Those which are hard to attribute to diet anecdotally.

There's a lot of crap that goes into intensively farmed meat (drugs, medication etc). Each to thier own/follow medical advice etc, but an all meat diet wouldnt be my choice (ethics aside)

As opposed to veg covered in pesticides (and yes that includes "organic" because they renamed a bunch of pesticides as organic approved)

I am regularly testing blood, pressure etc.
I've come to carnivore exactly on medical advice and consulting with doctors, even the NHS are starting to push low carb high protein/fat diets (as I linked to earlier in the thread)

I keep ducks and chickens, my beef comes from a farmer's market/organic so drugs will be much less than supermarket, my pork is also local and drug free

I’ve eaten meat all my life but could easily switch to veganism if I had someone to make me banging vegan food everyday.

At work we have vegan Thursdays where some catering company come in and make this ludicrously posh/high quality vegan food for free and it’s way better than any other meal I eat during the week.

But it looks like it takes a lot of time and effort to both source the niche ingredients and to be able to prepare and cook the food to a high standard. Thus it’s very hard to motivate myself to switch.

My mate has type 2 Diabetes and I recommended lowering his carbs etc/keto type stuff and he stopped having as many spikes/hypo's and doesn't take as much insulin now, as we know keto is proven to prevent diabetes for obvious reasons.

Having had blood work done the doctors confirmed this as well.

People will give you all this bs about cholesterol, but your body naturally produces it, so simply stops producing as much as required, and you actually need it anyway for things like the material that joins your brain together etc, which people don't realize, however on a carb diet it is bad to have high cholesterol. Keto not so.

meat doesn't cause obesity, sugar does, I eat 100% animal products and have lost over 50kg in 1 year, my pre-diabetes is gone, my triglycerides have gone from 1.98 to 0.96, my apoB has dropped, my HDL is up
a few months ago I couldn't do 1 pushup, today I can do 9, yeah that isn't great but I'm losing weight but gaining muscle, my BP has dropped from 140's to 120's
my ankle brachial index is now 1.2

I tried largely plant based diets for the last 10+ years before that and they all failed to have any significant or long lasting impact

my joint paint, back pain, shoulder pain are all gone, I can actually excercise and do weights without getting an injury and then having to stop for weeks at a time
my sinus problems have also cleared up

I also never really feel hungry - I eat once or twice a day and don't get any cravings for crap, when there is junk food in the house I can ignore it completely (I must have been a nightmare to live with before that because the only way I could ignore junk food was to not allow it in the house)

I never claimed meat causes obesity.

We can all find studies that support our views:

You think a study which involves 19 overweight women proves meat cures disease? Hilarious.

I'd never claim plant based diets cured anything personally because I haven't looked into it enough and im more focused on the ethics than the nutrition side.

Yes, but if you had a high quality/posh meat dish, it would also taste amazing. If meat can taste amazing without effort, imagine if the effort was added to a meat dish....

You seem to be dismissing the data to support your vegan ideology.

lol this is hilarious if you don't think this is true of both sides....
the difference is I respect vegans for their life choices as long as they don't break the law.
IF you have a problem with people eating meat then campaign for the law to be changed on animal husbandry , being vitriolic against people who are doing nothing wrong just makes you (not you literally) look an ass.

if someone wants to come to me in passing and say I am a vegan I think eating meat is cruel and unnessesary then cool I can respect that

if they want to be vile and force dodgy videos down my neck they can do one

No social justice movement has ever succeeded without law breaking and people changing themselves.

Again whos forcing you to watch videos? No one, but youre happy to pay for it, but not watch the result of your actions.

All this and you still evaded 2 direct questions specifically asked of you for the 2nd time around... The only part you actually cut out of my entire quote...Are you deliberately evading them?

Once you answer them, I will address your points above. Discussion is a 2 way street

I eat guacamole on the occasion and yes, avocados are bad for the environment.

Of course if you're an environmentalist, you should be vegan https://www.alumni.ox.ac.uk/article/less-meat-better-for-environment

And whats my experience in pig farming? very little obviously, but if you've been to one pig factory farm then you've seen them all, I also don't need to physically be in a factory farm to see what occurs there, that's why we have photographic evidence.

It’s seems being vegan means becoming all sorts of things. Most prominently a person baiting others into emotional arguments in attempts to morally shame them.

No ones shaming anyone, ive simply provided facts and counter arguments, if you cant deal with that its not my problem.

As for that Honey question, you have to ask yourself why do bees make honey? Its not for us is it.... (although there is one specific type of bee that produces honey as a waste product but I cant remember which one)

"The crisis in global pollinator decline has been associated with one species above all, the western honeybee. Honeybees are artificially-bred agricultural animals similar to livestock such as pigs and cows. But this livestock can roam beyond any enclosures to disrupt local ecosystems through competition and disease.

Keeping honeybees is an extractive activity. It removes pollen and nectar from the environment, which are natural resources needed by many wild species of bee and other pollinators.

Saving the honeybee does not help wildlife. Western honeybees are a commercially managed species that can actually have negative effects on their immediate environment through the massive numbers in which they are introduced.”
