Divinity: Original Sin 2

I don't think you'll lose much by creating a character, but you definitely want to keep some origin characters around as companions. Their quests really add a lot to the story and tie lots of things together!

Big patch yesterday that changed a lot. Especially thankful for the decreased persuasion requirements in act 4 and runes showing up properly in crafting.

Me and my friend only just got to the third act (nameless isle) and we have logged 32 hours played and hardly touched the sidequests. When we moved onto the next act the journal closed like 20-25 unfinished quests - and those were just the act 2 ones we discovered along the way while doing the main story. Crazy big game.

I haven't even tried playing it solo yet.

Just completed it. Bloody amazing game. Possibly the best RPG ever made imo. Definitely the best recent one anyway.

Ending was poor though tbh. Just a few uninteresting slides. Last fight was really tough too.

I left at either 17 or 18. One or the other as I recall I out-leveled the highest levels in the region, just cant recall if it was by 1 or 2 and I save over old save files. I imagine you should be able to squeeze a bit more out and hit at least 16 which if I recall if the level some of the enemies in the region are at.

Coming up to the end of Act 1 and I'm really enjoying this so far. I feel similar to @Daftbrown, in that I know I like games such as PoE and Witcher 3 but I just can't dedicate that much time to them. I find this quite easy to pick up and play for an hour then put back down again.

I have a couple of criticisms with the camera being slightly annoying (it doesn't zoom out enough) and trying to click on characters that are moving (e.g rats) or enemies that are obscured in battle is a bit fiddly. I've accidentally cast spells on my own people a few times now!

Is there a button that highlights enemy outlines during battle?

Will be picking this up in the near future for sure. Loved the first one. Not sure how/why I missed the Kickstarter for this.

Shame a this game does not get that much attention here. Must be the genre.

How many hours did it take to complete?

Does anyone know how I can make my hotbar a little more user friendly, I know I can unlock it and re-arrange it but how do I get the icons/spells etc that are on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hotbar moved to the first one?

81 hours. And I left TONS undone.

I started again playing as Lohse this time with completely different builds for everyone. Gonna have a different party from Act2 onward too so I can see the stories I missed first time

Studio founder Swen Vincke reckons D:OS 2 will grow further still in the coming months, with promise of "at least one big surprise" into the future.

"What I really hope is that we're going to see adventures appear," says Vincke when asked what he'd like to see from the game's thriving modding community. Pre-release, Larian invited a number of prevalent modders of the previous game into its office to craft new mods for its latest. They were given a week, so says Vincke, and came up with some pretty neat creations.

"Somebody made the Noisy Crypt, that was one of the guys that came here, he made a 40-minute adventure," Vincke continues. "I hope we're going to see more and more of those come up because I really want adventures that we can play in co-op where I actually don't know what the story is. That would please me tremendously. But again there's already loads of really cool stuff in there. We have a couple of things that are in the works but we'll only announce them when we're ready. There's stuff coming, for sure."

Given the success Divinity: Original Sin 2 has enjoyed so far, I ask Vincke what's next for the series. It's early days yet, but might we expect a Divinity: Original Sin 3, 4, or 5?

"[Laughs] We have a couple of surprises planned," replies Vincke. "But we're going to work on the patch just now, then we're going to work in silence for a little bit so that we can get our **** together and then… yeah, I'm pretty sure there will be at least one big surprise in there."

I would absolutely love an expansion of some kind, but just a few little bits would be great.

Priorities for the campaign for me are-
1. Improve Arx
2. A few new followers, hopefully for Act2(they added a few followers to the first game something like 6 months after release iirc)
3. A dlc with a new area.

ok i have 2 undead in my party, my main an undead scoundrel/necro and Fane. Just finished ac1 for the second time, i missed a lot of quests first time round. But has anyone else who plays with the undead char's actually had to use the mask of the deceiver or had any trouble speaking to people? I've yet to have an issue with dealing with people since i alway shave a helmet on anyway. I was just expecting it to be a little harder. Maybe later on in the game it matters?

Picked this game up last night after my friends were hyping it up. Played for 2 hours and i was very impressed.

I just hope to god they bring this out for my switch because it would be epic.

Mario and Rabbids proved it can be done, a Switch version of OS2 would be fantastic and a real coup for the platform.
