I must be missing something, I am a big sci-fi fan yet the latest Doctor Who series have been appalling. I have tried, on several occassions, to sit and watch it but everytime I have turned over in disgust. It is utter crap with dodgy effects, wooden or ham acting and rubbish storylines.

Either let Hollywood do the job properly or leave the old girl alone.
 
i caught this 2night, i really enjoyed this one, the ode fella's looked scaryish for once, as oppose to laughable

the sets and effects looked good , and tbh im sure if done a little more seriously without the DR in it, it could be a scary film type thing, similar to the film event horizon
 
BEST episode ive seen with the new DR tonight tbh. Finally they got off earth and have an original storyline. Hopefully its just the start of many good eps to come
 
Heh. Was a good laugh. Next week should be fun (damn having to record it).

Doomish is good. That reminds me, I still need to finish Doom 3 :(
 
Good episode tonight and loved the Doom sound effects. The Ood were freaky, though it was always kinda obvious they would become "the legion of the beast".

Oh and as linked above, the rather lovely chick who kicked the bucket was MyAnna Buring (Thanks to Doctor Who Confidential).
