Doctor Who

Talking about Eccleston! On the "SUN" website there is something about Jenna-Louise Coleman's stunt-double being a man and how much bigger he is compared to her tiny frame. Now that would just normally be nothing and would raise the odd-chortle in Doctor Who land.

BUT I could not help but notice this stuntman has the same facial features as Eccleston, even the nose and the grinning stare is the same. I am probably just making this up in my head and seeing things but if it was him, then why? lol.

Awful writing, awful episode, cringe how appalling Gatiss can be considering his good work on Sherlock and League of Gentlemen.

I couldn't pick one good thing about that episode. A few initial things that stuck out like a decapitation:

Why is the Doctor kissing a girl he knows is a lesbian and married.

We can't go directly after her she'll shoot her daughter... So we'll go out the window and go after her...

The rocket thruster that would incinerate them all.

The pointless Thomas Thomas kid. (Yes I got the awful joke)

And that goddamn awful scene at the end with the kids, 'we'll tell our dad our nanny is a time traveller' yeah good luck with that. It was horrific slapstick 'oops I've been caught' moment, I half expected her to raise her arms, palms facing upwards and give a smirk and a shrug.

I just don't understand how they are getting paid to write this bad.

Actually didn't mind the episode so much.
T'was good fun. Yes Mr Sweet was a bit cheesy but all in all, not TOO shabby.

Then I got all depressed at the end bit.

Just another step towards the cbeebies zone that it's been heading in recently.
And I can't believe they're going to ruin a Cyberman episode because of it :(

I loves me some Dr Who, but it REALLY needs to go away for a while and have a good hard think about where it's headed.

Indeed, the gettong found out ending with kids, would have been better with the father just browsing and leaving his pc open for her to find, as we all know fathers tend to check out their nannies on the net ;)
Then she could have seen herself in victorian london and pondered without the dross of kids blackmailing to go to funderland next week.
We shall see just what they do with Gaiman.

The rest of te episode was ok, not bad, rigg was good. It was a standard bad makeup badguys, like thirty years ago, thats quite acceptable.

Worst of the series imo, and that's saying something! I was just bored by the entire thing. It was described as a "horror", okay of course I wasn't expecting SAW but really?! The Demon Headmaster was more intimidating and that really was written for CBBC. Eugh. Awful.

That was pretty rubbish, and why aren't we seeing her be awesome.
I want the girl from the darkens, someone able to actually keep up with the doctors thinking and skills.
She's been a bit of a let down, other than in the looks department.

Quite like the new girl, better than the old one she comes across as a lot more human. I am still wanting a episode when they turn up on Red dwarf.

I'm just not "feeling the love" any more.

Every episode is the same format. Lets get the Dr and "a version" of Clara to dash around like chickens with their heads cut off, in the vague hope it will convince the audience we're doing something important and not glossing over another non-story. The pace of the whole thing need to be slowed so the stories can evolve a bit and draw us in. My betting is that there will be tiny half seen clue that we are supposed to have seen being pointed out so it cough... All makes sense.

We've not seen a single new race of baddies for ages. It's Darleks, Cyberman, IceWarriors, Sontarans, the "Silence" was OK, but that built over a number of episodes.

It used to be a bit scary (on a kids level) but now it's cringe worthy with silly gags and throw away one liners. And if he gets the flippin sonic screwdriver out once more... Arrgh...!! Matt Smith has to go, as do the current writers.

I give up. They are just taking the pee now with this series. Low budget, poorly written and re-using the same lame characters, gags and surprises over and over and over.

I doubt I'll watch any more of these which is a shame because I think Matt Smith has been a good Doctor and had a lot of potential.
