Nope, you were wrong in every way. :p

The ring was picked up by one of The Masters followers, who used it to resurrect him in "The End of Time", but due to The Masters wife interfering the resurrection was incomplete. We last saw The Master forcing Rassilon back through the portal to the time-locked Gallifrey.
 
I'm still holding out for it to actually be The Rani, lying to the Doctor as she knows he's not as scared of her as he is of The Master (and she doesn't know about the "forcing Rassilon back through the portal to the time-locked Gallifrey" stuff... and he'd just ***** slap her if he knew who she really was!

Even with The Master being bonkers, I don't think he'd (she'd) have snogged The Doctor like she did!! The Rani on the other hand... ;)
 
Yea, Missy saying she is the master doesn't really make it true.

I really hope she is actually The Rani, purely 'cos that's who I told my girlfriend I thought she was, and I can never let her be right!
 
She's always known The Doctor is more scared of The Master than The Rani

There has never been a case of a Time Lord Switching Genders on Regeneration!!!

They'll probly cop out though!!

That was a good episode and I enjoyed it immensely.

I have no investment in it to the degree that I feel I know better than the writers about what should/shouldn't happen, and I'm glad I don't carry this heavy burden around in my heart.
 
Right, is anyone willing to put on a bet that Moffat will write in a some point in the future, a story that will feature the Doctor and 'Missy' agreeing a truce, they get drunk & nine months later a 'time lord baby' appears on the scene?? :p
