Doctor Who

Have to see how it fairs over more than an initial episode, but as expected if you had an iota of sense it was very much Doctor Who, just with a new Doctor who happens to be a woman.

I'm gonna guess I won't have to look far to find some outrage over them drawing attention to the Doctor being a woman twice in the whole episode though, no doubt using terms like "SJW Garbage" a lot.
 
It wasn't to bad but not great either, but by god are they smashing the diversity quota and its so obvious.
 
First thoughts - I didn't hate it, as I hated the first episode of Capaldi.

Accent was fine, I live in Leeds so used to dodgy accents here in Yorkshire (Born in Durham)

Enjoyed the high production values, but the storyline felt like it was heavily ripped from Predator 2 - a lone alien on Earth hunting for trophies as a right of passage
 
so who's who ? thought the resemblance/language/mannerisms were close -
turned over after 10 minutes - might ffwd later
her vocabulary did sound a bit like the narrator on 'magic roundabout'

It was alright i thought. Didn't love it didn't hate it.

Hard to go by based on the first episode as new doctors always are. CGI was pretty good. Storyline was OK but ended a bit too easily i thought.

Accent i can't say i'm a fan of at the minute but it may grow.

Female doctor i'm still not a fan of but will give her a chance, may change my mind.
 
Race doesn't matter, which I guess is why it felt forced. But anyway, the issue there are the parts not the actors playing them but it was only a minor note for me.

Loved the theme music at the end, homage to classic dr. Who themes.
 
It was ok not great not bad. The multi race thing was overly forced but expected it’s the bbc. New Dr was ok bit all over the place.

Will see how it goes...
 
I think my Tivo is trying to tell me something by not recording this. If it's only average, not significantly better than the Capaldi run that almost had me give up, I guess I'm out.
 
Hmmm.... not a bad sci-fi romp.
But didn't really feel very Doctory.
Need to watch a few more to see if it gets the feeling back, but I'm not really feeling her wishy washy girliness. I prefer a grumpy Capaldi-esque Doctor :)
