We also beat both Sunderland and Stoke earlier in the season, beat a flying Arsenal and made Jose park the bus at Old Trafford and play for the draw.

I'm amazed at how United 'fans' forget these glimmers of hope in what has been a glimmerless season :D

Not forgetting doing Bayern Leverkusen 5-0 at their home ground, and they were at the time flying in the bundesliga.

I've never wanted a Manager to stay at a club this bad in the whole of my life. :p

To be honest the season is basically over now, bar a miracle (and that miracle would be 4th place). There's no one out there to replace him at the moment, so although I think he is doing an absolutely terrible job, we may as well stick with him until the summer.

Failure to finish 4th (which would have surely been the minimum expectations at the start of the season) then he should be sacked.

As alluded to earlier in the thread, there's been no philosophy imposed or progress being made in the football the team has been playing, which could have been his saving grace. He looks out of his depth unfortunately.

Even if Mourinho or Fergie took over, I don't believe we could outscore everybody else at a fast enough rate, to secure 4th.

Basically, to get 4th, we'd have to (all of a sudden), score points at a speed akin to Man City/Arsenal.

At the start of the season some fans (and our manager) were deluding themselves into believing that Moyes was good enough to compete for the title. Now that that delusion has passed, some fans are hoping for a top 4 finish.

At this point I see no light at the end of the tunnel. Our last game was against Stoke who, before we lost to them, were in a relegation battle. A few games before that we played Sunderland who are also in a relegation battle...and lost to them.

The simple truth is that Man Utd are not good enough to finish 4th.
We are in 7th place and we deserve to be there.

PS: Is there an article which someone can point me to, which includes statements from the top brass at Man Utd, stating the reasons why Moyes was hired? Because after 6 months, I am still at a loss, as to why he was chosen.

No because there was never such article. They are not accountable to the fans nor are they accountable to their creditors on who is employed by the club

Like the dude just said, I think it was a joke.

mmm i dunno. but yea, his dad might have gone mental :p

Thing is, i don't understand how someone who was getting such praise for getting Everton playing the way they were, to complete villain. How does that work?

Not a complete villain.
Just that at present, he is out of his depth and appears to have no idea how to cure the problems.
With the squad we have available, we should be higher up in the league.
He is certainly not a villain.

Because it's the internet. Was he LMA manager of the year 3 times in the premiership with Everton? Voted by his fellow managers, yet all of a sudden the same old cliques are peddled out, the same ones they used for Wenger last year because it makes them think they have in depth knowledge of the game.

No plan B
Tactical numpty
Subs are crap
It's the training, the players are getting killed.

At no point was he ever criticised for being tactically inept until now. His fellow pro's spoke extremely highly of him but people who have never played the game at any level all think they know better. The internet is just like when you went to the pub in the 90's and everyone knew what was wrong with the England team.

Now you have Fifa manager mode and ultimate team it's even worse.

You can look at United when they signed Berbatov and people actually thought they would line up like this....

----------Berb----------

-Rooney--Tevez--Ronaldo-

----Carrick Scholes-------

Evra-Vidic-Ferdinand-Brown

----------VDS-------------

Far too much fifa being played :D

That same person is now telling us Moyes hasn't a clue what he's doing.

I can honestly understand people not liking his style of play or football but I think it's a bit laughable to suggest he doesn't have a clue tactically. It just took him a few years to build the side he wanted and Everton and it will take him a few years at United. The difference is he won't get that time.

What do you expect really from the internet, half these cry babies used to bleat in the first month of the season that Fergie was clueless and a tactical numpty only for him to walk the title. The greatest manager this country has ever seen wasn't good enough for half this lot, what chance does a mere mortal have?

Moyes will go and you will see a rapid sucession of failures and big money being wasted trying to keep up with Chelsea and City.

Yeah, lol.. it was slightly rhetorical but i apprectiate the in depth message. :p

Armchair know it alls everywhere eh, such chod being spouted left right and centre from people.

Don't forget the old rotation one as well...

Roy Hodgeson was voted lma manager of the year the year Fter moyes won his last, it's not exactly a marker for greatness. Tactical ineptness - I would say any manager unable to beat Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal away from home in over a decade of football doesn't have much tactical nous about them. You also had plenty of match going evertonians question his substitutions, his match day tactics. He is a footballing dinosaur, just like Hodgeson was, luckily we realised our mistake in half a season..

So what? He's a rubbish manager because he hasn't won against the big 4 with I don't know how much Champions league revenue behind them. so mad! He did awesome things with both Preston and Everton and suddenly because he's 7th with a imbalanced squad, he's clueless. Naah....sorry

Lol, I'll tell you what's going to happen, Moyes is gonna be manager for like 2/3 years scrapping for 4th with Everton/Spurs and Lpool, maybe not making it, maybe making it...who knows. The squad by this time will have some direction to it, but as usual will be sacked only for Fergie to ride in on his white horse...;)
