No, it was worth a try. I think the mistake will be in how long they keep him. I would like to see Fergie bought back as a caretaker to see how some of these players that shouldn't be any where near the squad start playing with interest again.

Last nights performance was a clear sign only 2 or 3 players want to play for Moyes, therefore he should go asap unless they know they are getting rid of them all in the summer.

Not disputing Moyes has to be held responsible but the players attitude until about the 80th minute just stank and no change in manager is going to resolve that (unless SAF comes back to scare the be-jesus out of them all)

Too many of them have got lazy with the success they have already had and with Rio, Vidic and Evra leaving at the end of the season (most probably) they dont care as much as they would normally (admittedly Evra did well at times last night offensively, but his legs let him down dangerously at times too getting back).

Not convinced MF would have made much difference last night (one good game against CP last weekend doesnt prove anything just yet, the horror performances earlier in the season are still too fresh)

That would be too huge an admission by everyone at Old Trafford surely? Much easier to sack Moyes and chase someone else.

To what conclusion or are you saying from day one only 3 players wanted to play for United under Moyes?

I doubt that very much, he should have and has been given time to win them over. He clearly hasn't so must go along with 8 or 9 players that have given up.

Ferdinand should be paid up the rest of the year and told to stay at home.

I have said all along that the manager that came in after Fergie would be cheap to get rid of and no huge name would put their reputation on the line following fergie. I don't honestly believe Fergie would have got this lot in the top 4 this year with the improvements others made. I do though think he would have kicked a lot more up the backside than Moyes has or any other manager that could have come in.
