:D

Man U literally have no plan B, get it out wide and whip it in lads. When that doesn't work they don't have a clue. You'd think the senior players would step it up a bit to try and stop the embarrassment, but they didnt?

As Pigeon pointed out pre-game, had Utd played with proper wingers and tried that, they'd have had much more of a chance against us. Their problem today was that they offered no threat from a wide position despite us playing a narrow midfield.

I think in hindsight we should have gone for Mata behind Rooney, Welbeck left, Valencia right. That may not have been how I'd have started the game, but as Neville pointed out after about 10 minutes, changes were needed to try and counter the pressing game and give us a better out ball, as well as pace going forward. RvP isn't really working with Rooney at the moment.

RvP's main strength is getting on the end of balls coming into the box (not headers), as well as shooting around and inside the box. He doesn't seem to make many runs in behind and he won't beat a man often, but as a finisher he's generally brilliant. Sadly our play isn't taking advantage of that at all.

Unfortunately Moyes seems too frightened to take off either RvP or Rooney. :(

None of the man u players were up for it today. They didn't look like they believed they could win. Bit shocking to say that about a man u team.

Moyes waited forever to change things when it was obvious it wasn't working. As a Chelsea fan I'm happy that he's still in the job, but you have to ask whether his staying on right now will ruin your summer transfer plans and stop any chance of a positive pre-season. It doesn't look like any of the players believe he is the man for the job, and it doesn't look like he believes it himself!

edit: also what the hell happened to van persie today?! He was terrible!

It's sometimes hard to play well when everyone around you is playing ****. :p

The truly great players can do that though, I'm not his biggest fan but I thought Rooney played good today (not 300k a week good though ;)).

I certainly wouldn't hand him a large transfer kitty in the summer, accept it was a bad appointment and move on to the likes of Klopp, Simeone, Van Gaal or Hiddink.

To be fair to the old guy he's got his point across well considering who they lost to without really swearing at all despite the rage. Different era, different class.

He did at Arsenal, he just needs the right sort of service (hence MU's attempts to sign Fabregas). If MU want to get the most out of RvP then they need some creativity in central midfield with enough time on the training pitch to learn the type of runs he likes to make. Fellaini is not the answer.

Undertaker and... Jeff Hardy? Not sure about the last one. :D

There's no point in sacking him with 9 games to go, but on the basis of what I've seen so far, he should be dismissed as soon as the season ends and a replacement bought in quickly to get the team working.

I like Moyes, I still do, but at this point he looks an utterly broken man that has lost the trust of his team. I think it would be unfair to let him carry on.

Oh, he definitely can make those runs, but he's just not trying now. At least that's what it looks like. Or Moyes has broken him.

I'm shocked he came out and said he wants to stay. His body language and workrate say the complete opposite. Not that I totally blame him either - he moved to win trophies and whilst Moyes is there that's just not going to happen.
