I certainly wouldn't hand him a large transfer kitty in the summer, accept it was a bad appointment and move on to the likes of Klopp, Simeone, Van Gaal or Hiddink.
RvP's main strength is getting on the end of balls coming into the box (not headers), as well as shooting around and inside the box. He doesn't seem to make many runs in behind
He did at Arsenal, he just needs the right sort of service (hence MU's attempts to sign Fabregas). If MU want to get the most out of RvP then they need some creativity in central midfield with enough time on the training pitch to learn the type of runs he likes to make. Fellaini is not the answer.
