A COVID 19 vaccine doesn't need to be 100% effective to push the R number down to a point where infection rate reduces to weak epidemic level. The regular flu vaccine is not 100% effective either.

No it isn't, there is a vaccine for smallpox, and that disease has been virtually eliminated, however the is no cure for smallpox.

Trump talking nonsense again not only claiming vaccine coming end of the year but going as far as saying he had work started the minute he heard of the virus as early as January.
Early reports say that is ludicrous and definitely doesn't line up with his rhetoric he been using since this started. Has he not learnt his boasts will get fact checked?
