well still its very cheap for an rx8.. one on pistonheads is 2050 for a crashed one.. you should be able to get it back..

Could be as simple *cough* as new coil packs, HT leads and hotter spark plugs.
Could be a engine rebuild.

More likely to need both anyway.

Pretty straight forward to rebuild from what I remember (could be wrong though?) so might not be all that bad - or am I thinking about the 7?

The front end looks a bit iffy to me.

Bonnet looks wonky/not flush with the body as well from the picture? Just an observation.

I think that's just the light - bonnet fit looks fine in the third picture.

I got 2 owners when I did a hpi?? Which is why I then emailed saying your friend was the first own can you find out what history it has from speaking to him !

That's not bad considering even if it needs a few parts. A family member eBayed a bog standard non-running 2006 Mk2 Focus 1.6 which needs a new engine for £1400 last week.

No, the HPI check shows you the number of PREVIOUS registered keepers. This is also the figure the DVLA holds.

Therefore the car has had 3 keepers if the HPI check records two previous. You will be the fourth.

.It does suffer from the usual warm starting problems but drives and starts like a dream from cold.

trust me its a world of pain when you get a bad running rx8, and trying to troubleshoot. It's worth no more than a grand.

If it was as simple as the starter motor (it either works or it doesn't) he'd fix it. It isn't. Sorry.
