Download Festival 2007

Hmm.

Fine, perhaps I let personal antagonisms against LP and MCR get the better of me, but even if you don't like Maiden I think it would be difficult for somebody to say they're bad live - that's not an arguable position! They've had 27 years + to refine their show, and in terms of pure energy/atmosphere it's hard to top them, even if you don't like the music.

Only Pink Floyd, I think, would manage that.

Ok no its not in MY OPINION THEY ARE BAD LIVE. There you go, said it. Just because somebody has been doing something for a long time does not mean that everybody likes them or thinks their good. I dislike the atmosphere they generate in the crowd, from my point of view the crowd has been the most hostile, maybe not the best word but I'll use it anyway, to each other that I've experienced. Not particularly liking their music also doesn't help matters.

I'd personally rate Metallica, Foo Fighters, AC/DC, Megadeth, Billy Idol, Motorhead etc better than Maiden, so I just don't go and see them any more.

As I've said this is MY OPINION not anybody else so please stop telling me how I must think, your starting sound like the government.

So apparantly RATM have reformed for more than just the one show.

It's in Kerrang, being quoted as saying their will be more shows.

Possibility of them headlining Reading Festival rather than Download perhaps?

PLEASE let RATM appear somewhere in the UK this year :)

Keeping my fingers crossed! I can't see them being at Download unless they were headlining and this years lineup has left a sour taste in my mouth. Looking back on it, 2006 had a brutal lineup!

Yeh i wanted to go Download last year but couldn't because of exams.

I can make it this year, but so far the lineup isn't exactly inspiring.

I can't see RATM playing below any of Downloads Headliners, so if they come to the UK it pretty much has to be Reading surely?

Unless they do their own shows, but i can't see them doing a tour just yet. A few festival shows seems to be the order of the day.

Razorlight
RATM
Red Hot Chilli Peppers

For Reading 07?

dont really know the bands on friday but the other bands on saturday and sunday couldnt be better :D

well, maybe some american metal in there too lol, lamb of god, machine head etc.

But wait... there's more. We kinda sorta figured that by the time June rolled around, we would be ready for a break from recording (escape??) and since we had so much fun in Europe last summer, we thought "why not go back for some more fun and games?" We're planning to share the summer love with our friends in some different countries we didn't get to last year.. okay, **** it, maybe one or two repeats. We haven't quite worked out all the details yet, but we thought that for once we really would be the first site to break a piece of Metallica news.

hmmm :D :D

Nobody mentioned the next announcement yet then?

Manson
Slayer!
Killswitch
Wolfmother

and Bring Me The Horizon/(Hairstraighteners)

Some of those bands are a bit more like Download!!

What do you all think then? Check the official site for the confirmation for any doubters :p

I'll probably get lynched (again) for saying this but I'm glad Manson is back as he was brilliant last time. Not bothered by Killswitch as their latest stuff is exactly the same as the last couple of albums :( and Wolfmother...just oh well really.
