Dr. Disrespect permanently banned from Twitch

Has there been any proof shown either way. I've not been following really but all I've seen are accusations, Dr Disrespect admitting to inappropriate behaviour with and minor in a tweet and now people suggesting it was a conspiracy and he only admitted it to trick the accuser etc.

So simply put do we have proof of all this or are we just talking Drs word for it? The only proof I've seen is him essentially additting guilt in that tweet

The videos of him finding out this news live on stream (not once but twice) is also fascinating viewing. Those videos alone tell so much even if it's not conclusive evidence in itself.

I'm just amazed that he can come out and admit it, then several months later say, ha got ya, that was just to fool the journalists, I didn't really do it, and people just lap it up. The mind boggles.

also when he says "they are over the age of consent" does he mean in their country/state I'm guessing it was a sixteen year old ?

what if he had consensual intercourse with someone, without knowledge they were a minor, does it make you innocent?

Surely it's on him to be family friendly and assume everyone he speaks to is a minor until confirmed otherwise?

What's the average age of his fanbase.... I'm guessing mostly young teens..

Same as when you see any popular youtuber getting mobbed by "fans" and they all look like school children.

I don't think anyone ever disputed whether he knew their age. I'm pretty sure this was the consensus. Probably a part of why he doesn't want to release the messages. I imagine a lot of what he said were inuendos / implied sexts rather than from a legal point of view being spelt out in black and white.

Twitch staff internally agreed that no sexting was tasking place and no CSAM had been exchanged.

An independent foundation to prevent the exploitation of kids had access to the full chat logs and no further action has taken place.

I’ve seen people saying that a judge has looked at the messages as well and ruled that no sexting or CSAM was exchanged but not sure where that came from.

I guess it might not even be creepy, if the messages indeed were not of a sexual nature, then it would simply be someone having a conversation with a minor about...well who knows what about, could be a conversation about games for all we know. Not much creepy about a gaming streamer having a conversation with a minor about games I guess.

he seems upset twitch basically labelled him as a nonce. legally he did nothing wrong.
it's like libel/defamation right.


That doesn't mean he wasn't totally inappropriate with the teenager and twitch had legitimate concerns and reasons to ban him.

And he is married with kids right? That part shouldn't have any legal implications - but if you're in your 40s with kids and are married, you really need to take a long hard look in the mirror if you're having flirty/innuendoy conversations over Twitch whispers with anyone, let alone if the person was borderline underage.

I think his 'safest' way out is releasing the logs but there might be some sort of legal complication with doing that or it does actually make him out to be a bit noncy.

Really, no-one comes out of this looking any good.

Also lets say he was grooming someone, how does that start? is it with sexualised chat joking about stuff? you know, being inappropriate? then it slowly gets more and more intimate with the other chatter as they start to feel comfortable? no doubt whatever he said was just plain weird, and along those lines.
how many celebrity nonces could have been shut down, but instead argued they were just being inappropriate when confronted? something like this could have put a quick stop to jimmy saville or huw edwards.

It's probably exactly how they were allowed to carry on, and feel like they were invincible.

Are you new to internet? Let people decide for themselves. Why would anyone willing open themselves up the court of public opinion? Have you missed the past decade? The court of public opinion is full bitter people who enjoy tearing others down for their own amusement and has nothing to do with finding the truth or fairly analysing information.

First and foremost IMO people who ran with him being a .pdf based on hearsy don't have a right to demand chat logs. It is disingenuous for them to pretend like they care about evidence.
Secondly confirmation bias. The people who still think he is guilty have ignored stuff in his statement that would challenge them. See stumblebumble above. They would simply shift the goal post and look for other things to attack him with.

The only thing that will satisfy those people is if the chat logs has two words "hi" and "bye"

Yeah its strange world we live in. Personally I don't get the whole streamer culture and would rather play games myself or watch a movie etc rather than help inflate someone's ego.

People seem to get infatuated and from what I've seen are defending and throwing money at a potential nonce based on he now saying he didn't do anything when previously he did...

When Dr Disrepect in his own statement says the phrase 'were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not' then you know he's been sending some dodgy stuff.

Don't forget that one of the main allegations was that he was trying to meet up with the minor at Twitchcon too.
