Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Anybody else having issues with keyboard remaping?...I always use arrow keys for movement ie forward, backwards etc instead of the default WADS combo and it won't let me remap the arrow keys. Really annoying since all the games I have ever owned let me remap them.

Oh for goodness sake, really? That alone is a dealbreaker for me - what is it with EA and accessibility? If they are using DEI consultants to make the game more accessible, how come they didn't spot this? Some of us need to use the cursor keys - how many times do we need to go through this?

You have to use WASD keys or gamepad, really bad since all games and previous DA games I have owned the arrow keys were remappable for movement, yes it does suck. It must be worst for left handers ie mouse in left hand and using right hand for WASD on keyboard, where arrow cursor keys would be better.

I'm forced to use WASD keys for movement, pain when going from any other game I own which uses arrow cursor keys for movement. The four arrow keys are better because they are spaced out ( on my and most keyboards) from other keys, with WASD keys you can easy hit another key next to it.

Lazy design from game developers ie EA/BIOWARE on this issue.

Btw no quicksave far as I can tell, you have to go to menu to save(100 saves is max), there are autosaves however, I do miss quicksave.

Only if they have a narrow desk, I'm left handed and just always use WASD
just push the keyboard more to the right

Still sucks due to no spacing around WASD keys, arrow cursor keys I've been using since the late 1990s.
you get easy access to QE and other keybinds though, just takes some getting used to, impossible to play MOBA properly with arrow keys, so I'd assumed most people atleast learnt how to WASD by now

BM:W is still only the 12th highest, you act like I'm comparing it to the number 1

DRagon ages currently 30th most played

I thought videos were allowed if they had minimal swearing?

as per the rules

Asmongold swearing is not frequent?
Todays video had swearing within seconds of the videos start.

I’ll watch things linked and I’ll make a call on each, but I’ve taken no further action against users that I’ve deleted videos for.

I don't remember all the confected outrage with DA:Origins that were certainly having now with Veilguard. Graphics have certainly come a long way though

So I take it this isn't worth getting then? I am confused as to what to thing with the mixture of reviews and user reviews.
Leave making a decision for a week or two heck even a month after this drama to die down then look at it again by then it could be cheaper and also have patches updated to it.
I never buy games upon release now they are usually incomplete and buggy and the most expensive it will be.

I suspect it is less about relationship matters and more gender identity and the pronoun stuff. I confess, I find it both bewildering and somewhat irrelevant within a fantasy context. As I posted earlier; games are about escapism and other-worldly escapades. Not an exercise in mirroring real-world societal norms whether they be controversial or otherwise.

That's the point you can't remap keys like 99% of other games, we ALL have our own preferences, previous Dragon Age games allowed it but not Veilguard, you may be happy with it but does not mean people like myself are, I'm an old gamer and virtually had no issues playing games the way I do with arrow cursor keys.

It's not rocket science they could have easily allowed both WASD and arrow cursor keys for movement, just lazy programming and people need to stop making excuses for them, bad enough they keep dumbing down DA games. I wish they went back to DA Origins for combat and controls.

You should not assume, some people only play games with gamepads and ignore mouse/keyboard combos, my brother is an example of that.

:)
