Dubstep thread

LOL brostep. is that even a word?

look either way, tis music, and good music, be it dubstep, brostep, pop, rock or anything. good music is good. if you can vibe to it, whats wrong?

Brostep is to dubstep what clownstep is to DnB. :D

I don't recall saying there was anything wrong with people liking it. People have different tastes. I just don't want brostep (I believe that is the commonly used name for this sub-genre of dubstep :p) to take over as the norm for all dubstep.

Anyway, back on topic...

I aint a fan of the song but just listened to that remix and the production is absolutely nowhere near as being on par with the original :)

Haunted is still a badass tune posted above.

Man I love the oldschool 16 bit samples, This is pure crack for me. Especially Zelda!

I started getting into it a couple of years ago with Chase and Status Pendulum and Rusko. Been to many Dubstep nights which have been fantastic. As its become more commercial over the past year with Magnetic man, Katy B etc it seems to be getting crappy. Skream & Benga only played a couple of proper dub tunes and the rest were charts type rubbish the other week

Saying that there are many other fantasic artists, here are some of my Favs

Rusko
Bar 9
Cookie Monsta
Flux Pavillion
Borgore
Genetix
Skism
Doctor P
16 Bit

^ nice vid :)

This was played a few months ago in a club and I have only just found out the artist. The whole club went bananas!

Pure dirtyness...

So I'm late to the party, but I've only just discovered Dub Step.

I gotta say, for me it's a mixed bag oh "holy crap thats mind blowingly awesome" and "chav crap"

Not sure if I'll be looked down upon, as this might be "too commercial", but this is one of those Holy Crap songs for me (and highly likely a repost :p )

I'll come right out and say it - Dubstep has a bad image attached to it in my mind. Which is a shame because some of the more pop/chart orientated 'hybrid' dubstep tracks are pretty good.

I like some of these songs but I would never go as far as to say I liked dubstep.
