Dungeons & Dragons/Pathfinder/*

So much chat now :)

I'm happy for you to ask any questions in here. With things picking up pace I'll get the full history/blurb and the rest typed up tonight and tomorrow and email it to you all so that should hopefully help with questions are how to base your characters in the story.

I've actually been sitting fleshing out the mission and getting maps all drawn up so far this evening but I'll shelve that for now.

Yes half elves are fine.

Races are human, dwarf, elf, half elf.

I'm tempted to get the humans divided down into seperate skills based on their place of origin but to be honest with time running out I think we'll just go standard human tripe.

I'll see how tomorrow goes and see if I can write some other skills in, though I'm no skill balancing expert so don't want to mess anything up!

My character idea is not crazy, but just hope it fits in with the rest of the lore you have written for the celts.

He is a (celtic) halfling bard, plays the bagpipges, has a sgian dubh (dagger),claymore (longsword), and wears a kilt (but he is not tough enough to walk through a field of thistles).

Basic back story is the usual bard wanting to discover new things, learn, hear and see more than anyone else.

As in your little back story you mentioned much of what has happened north of the wall is not of interest in the south I thought it would be a cool thing if the bard knew a few compelling yet not commonly known legends of the last queen.

I've finally decided. Will be a Tempest Cleric, fits nicely with the lore. A pure blooded Roman Cleric of Storms (praise the old gods ;) ). I've an idea I'm going to send over to you DM,!

@ Pudney - Cross-bred scum!! ;)

Haha I like this, only thing to be aware of is the hostility/suspicion he may be viewed with when in Britannia as he looks like he is from North of the wall which they do not like especially if they think you do not follow the pantheon.

Really fun idea though :)

Interesting, I'll mail you back.

I've actually got the God stuff done so when I get more done tonight I'll send you all over the work in progress to help you all decide a little more.

I'm a bit more set on character as well now.

I'm thinking a human hunter/ranger of Norse origin, ultimately he'll specialise in Archery (longbow) as his main method of combat. I quite like the idea of him having a guild background that involves some kind of woodworking which obviously ties in quite nicely with the woodsman feel of the class.

I'll try and put together a character sheet based off of this, incidentally does anyone know of any good form filled character sheet templates we could use?

I use this for my DnD sessions:

However, I am thinking that a real time updating google drive version would be a lot more helpful for the DM and us to use.

With the above link, you can share and update it in real time. Isn't as detailed as the others, but does mean No1newts can keep track of everything with just a tab open. We'd all just to have separate sheet for spells, but if we all either have a ebook or real life version of the players handbook with us it will be easy (or use hardcodex.ru for spells).

EDIT: Using that google updating one, here is mine so far (need to add spells etc):

Hi chaps, im pretty far on with the fluff but it's taking a little linger than I thought. I'll send you all a work in progress copy tomorrow morning (having issues with the hotel wifi) but that covers religion, nations and governance which will give you a lot o help in forming your characters backgrounds.
