When it doesnt exist in the media your consuming. Gamers aren't racist (Excluding the dicks on Call of Duty), sexist or anything. We just enjoy games and we don't care who makes them or who they are about.
But we are told by you and your broad that we hate women because we don't conform to your agenda. When the issue is very simple and very clear:
Females are perfectly represented in the genres they participate in.

If there is a study with enough power, you can safely say what they watch.
We have a study with which just under half of the games analysed, you can play as a female. Out of those studies we have 2 genres of gaming which females don't really partake in.
Therefore one can safely assume (Unless evidence to the contrary) that females are represented in their gaming media of choice, which in this study seems to be RPG's and non gender related games.

Women do play action and shooter games. Just like men play social, mobile and whatever games. I'm not sure what you think you proved.
I don't think i ever said women don't play them genres. I said they barely play them. Making their choice to play them genre's statistically insignificant.
You got some numbers to back that up?
Hint: 20-30% isn't insignificant. Huge market and developers will target it. Why do you have a problem with that?

A little anecdotal story, I used to play in a clan with 2 female members. In public matches with all talk enabled, they would choose to remain silent. The amount of **** talk they'd endure, not just stereotypical sexism but borderline scary stuff, even in otherwise friendly matches. Both of them were every bit as good as anyone else present at the game.
A lot needs to change in society for sure. It doesn't help that retards get empowered by internet anonymity
