actuallly using my lappie but I do have to remove the psu from the old pc that im giving my brother lol

thats good, Seasonics can be picky, my 600w wouldnt boot my DFI Lanparty. What revision is yours ? Ive read they improved compatibility with the latter rev 2 and 3's.

damit doesnt have the right number of connectors on the main power bit..

pwr supply is 4 yrs old

20 as opposed to 24 pin

:(

youll need a 20 to 24 Pin ATX Converter. anywhere local sell them ?

Did you get the Seasonic this week ? If you want to get up and running today I would get something else from a local store and return the seasonic.

gonna have to go to pworld and get a 20-24atx connector and if that doesnt work....its the mobo...

stellys bad axe was doing the same as mine.

both oem

I got mine :D

First boot fine on old OS install then 2nd boot nothing  then C1 (memory error) on my ABIT AB9 LED Display  :( still stuck at that

say you dont attatch the power supply to anything....and then switch the power supply on....should the power supply fans spin>????

nm wouldnt be able to switch the psu on lol

but thats whats strange... the power supply fan doesnt spin.... but the green light on the mobo is standby power on...so is it possible that a case connector to the power on switch could be broken...even though you press the power button the power led on the front comes on?

doubtful but I do suspect its the mobo...exact same problems a stelly had

Im sure ive seen recently that you can power on by shorting some of the molexs, cant find link though.

Try the seasonic in the old pc :)

No, if the PSU is not connected to anything then it will not power up. There is a way to test the PSU and that is by putting a paper clip or a piece of wire into 2 of the holes on the mobo connector. You connect the the paper clip to green and black on the psu connector. Then poweron, this will automatically start the psu and the fans should spin.

PSU Jump Trick

Hope this helps.
