usually you can slide off 4 of the pins from the 24 to make it 20.

Any idea when we'll see the E6700 Retails in stock then?

On the 2nd August the website said they'd be in stock tomorrow (yesterday) but I assume that didn't happen...no mention of people waiting for them, everyone seems to have gone for the E6600.

okay psu works with brothers pc...does this mean then that the mobo is dead

Make sure nothing is shorting it. Screws on anything like that.

Sounds like it, or the Seasonic isnt compatible with it. What revision is the seasonic ?

you know how you have a power switch header...there is another header number 9 thats +5v but I dont seem to have another header to attach to it.... is that significant... its basically where you attatch your power switch the,power led and the reset sw and the hd led ...its a 1 pin connection

Have you, or can you try my suggestion in one of my other posts in this thread HERE , it may or may not work, it's worth a try, it may or may not save you from RMA'ing any of your components.

I dont think so. I would send the board back and get a different make.

Silly question but i assume you have seated the CPU correctly? Lined it up properly with the socket?

lol gorebrush i had the same set up as you (but with 2gb ram) before i went core 2 ill tell ya how differnt it is when its all up and running
