the psu is compatible...the problem is I ordered the bad axe on june 30....so would I still be able to get an exchanged mobo or refund or do I have to wait on another bad axe coming in?

I'd echo the advise to try the board outside the case. It's possible one of the standoffs is shorting part of the board or maybe you have one standoff too many. Definately worth a try before RMAing anything.

Ring them up, tell them you have a dead bad axe. Say you really want a replacement for tomorrow but they have non in stock, ask whether you can order something else and RMA the bad axe for a refund. With it not being in stock i cant see them refusing tbh.

hell I got it to work!!!!

I removed it from the case and turned it on!!!>..

got the beeps and everything!!!

now to install the components....but hell does this mean I need to use no case!

Oh, found out why my order has been delayed. They're out of e6600 stock, and wont be getting any more til the end of next week.
Yay.

*goes to a corner and cries..*

LOL, thought you had done this ages ago.

Check non of the existing standoffs are positioned where there is no screw holes.

Definitely sounds like there's a problem with the case if it powers up OK outside it.

I know it's been asked already, but are you sure the motherboard mounting screws are all in the appropriate places or is there anything in the case touching the motherboard ?

Today is end of the week.

Don't cry were just in between booking another batch in. :)

Theres yet another 50 CPU's to book (E6600) so another 50 orders will hopefully ship out today). Plus we have another 100 x E6600 arriving tomorrow on Saturday delivery to allow us to ship more orders out and possibly have some left over the counter sales in the shop. :)
