Easiest way to flash your X800GTO2 via dvd \ cd

im not sure what the ati tool is? case temps were maxing out at 38 so no problem there. my psu has blew and took the mobo out with it so i cant do anything at the minute, ill test everything once ive got the replacement items

Yet another message of thanks for the easiest and best BIOS flash ever!

Simply a case of booting up off that CD, pressing 1 and hey-presto!

Now running a fully fledged X850 XT PE on Stock cooling!

6440 3DMark 05! Couldn't be happier, and I wouldn't have had the guts to flash it without your lovely little ISO. Thanks locutus

Errr... really? What should he be getting?

I'm on 32C mobo temp and that's pretty much idle.

In fact, it seems a little odd to me that it's higher than my CPU temp!

Anyone help here? I am also unsure as to what the 'ATI Tool' is and it doesn't appear to be available on the ATI site. Also, how do you measure the temps of this card?

ati tool measures it, what do you think that green grid with 30o at the bottom and 90o at the top is... :D also if you minimise it to your tray it gives the temp in there.

:D OK no need to be sarcy! The only temperature settings mentioned in ATI Tools (Tools & Options -- General Options -- Show temperature in Fahrenheit) is greyed out. Perhaps there is something I am missing.

locutus12 did you ever make a boot ISO for the Connect 3D X800 GTO card ?

Another quick question - can you see there would be a problem flashing my Connect GTO card because it is installed in a Shuttle ST20 which has the ATI radeon xpress 200 on board graphics.

Its OK made a floppy, here are the results:

As a point of note for the above question regarding case temps under load my system can get to 36ish case temp. At idle its about 30.

This is with 92mm in and 120mm out but both are running at very low RPM. CPU doesnt go above 45 under load and GTO2 only hits 70 (and we all know thats clocked to buggery :D ).

am i missing something, i have this card, jusy built a new system today withthis card, BUT i have not yet flashed my card, but where does it say how many pipelines I have at the moment anyhow ?

I have on the X800 gto2 disk that came with it, installed ATI Catalyst Control centre and TRIxx,,,, do i need another program to download then. as i cant see what pipelines i have already to then know after i have flashed it if it has worked

Thanks
