Easiest way to flash your X800GTO2 via dvd \ cd

use ATI tool to see your current pipes which will be 12. install it, open it up, click settings and there will be a load of info in the white area of the box that pops up, just scroll down and youl see your active pipelines

where do i get ATI Tool from then ? i cant seem to find it on the cd that came with graphics card

Doesnt come on the cd because its not made by ATI.

its an overclocking tool, i think most manufacturers would prefere you didnt overclock...

Okayi have succesfully changed from 12 to 16 pipelines, now picks up as a X850, though in Device manager under display adapterss, i have 2 Radeon x850 series, shown, ONE called secondary, i had to disable that as it wouldnt let me changescreen res, well it would change it inthe menu, but wouldnt actuall change the res as to what you can see. Is that normal ? why have i got 2 x850 shown ? i of course only have one G card in the machine

i think it shows 2 adapters due to the capabillity of a secondary display off the one card,

but dont quote me on that, either way its fairly normal.

so just disable it then, that is the best route ? as i only have one screen. It also when i flashed it made a few beeps, sort of a like a short melody, was that normal ? was like der der der der but going higher in pitch

true Assimilator1 but it depends on which batch of GTO`s they are, the newest batch will not modify at all

even with the ones before modding them was by no means certain

The X850XTs on OCUK are as cheap as the GTO2's were and they have a real good cooler on them.

Have a GTO2 arriving this week for "testing"

Will be interesting to see how it compares to my (former) X850 XTPE, which I have sold to a good friend, who really needed a proper video card.
Fresh copy of locutus12 wonderful cd boot bios ready to roll.
