Easyriders Cinema Room

That looks excellent Easy. My only crit would be to match the skirting to the lighter walls.

Love those lights.

And is that my PS3 there? ;)

Yeah mate it was your PS3 thanks for selling me it ;)

Spots are in place.

Here's a teaser of the screen doing its thing!

More to come tomo. Spent all the evening putting the screen up and projector up. Bit of a tweak fest and I'm emotionally drained! :p

Need to get the 876 fired up (awaiting banana plugs)

Needs to get speakers in place (the Tannoy F4's look the nuts)

The 15M HDMI cable, now buried in the wall works fine (what a relief) :D

Still a bit of a mess.Really impressed with the projector and screen at £399 inc. Makes the PS3 at 1080i look stunning.I couldn't stop giggling!:o

Think im gonna bypass getting an expensive plasma/lcd and go down the smaller lcd and BIG ASS projector route!! Easyrider that looks amazing! how did you get that for £399? Im am gobsmacked, its probably a lot more affordable than people think, and it definitely has the WOW factor. Great job.

Indeed a bargain.

I couldn't believe how much projectors had dropped in price when I started this project.:)

lol - can't believe you didn't test the cables before putting them behind the walls . would have been tragic if problems. you like playing with fire.

anyway glad it all worked out, it looks fab and enjoy after all the hard work. But not too much I still want to see you post pics when you put all finishing touches ;)

Test the cables? Na I like living on the edge.:p:eek::D

I didn't get around to it and just put my faith in the 15m HDMI lead I bought.
They said it was guaranteed to work....:p

I'll post all the pics from every angle etc.. when I get all the bits in place.:)

Most of the gear is listed in Post #80. I couldn't find the specs on the projector either.

easyrider, if you can maybe update the original post with all that information so people will quit nagging. ;)

I'l take some actaully pics of the projector and mount in location shortly

I'm so jealous of the price you got the F4's at and the 876. I reckon it would cost me £500 pounds more now in all. The F1's and FC's are still ok price wise, but the F4's seem to have doubled in price.

Yeah, It all just fitted into place. Although when I bought them, I didn't even have plaster on the walls! :p

The timing was just right.

Having seen the Tannoys at such a good price I figured I'll go for it.

Now I have them out the boxes I can't belive I only spent £249 on F4's F1's and FC I just don't know how some shops do it.

As for the 876...That was just a hardfaced cheeky phone call with nothing to lose. I heard on another forum that the shop in my town had done a deal with someone with some KEF's and got the 876 for 599inc.

I just rang and asked for the manager to sell me one for 599inc as I had read on a forum he had done this particular deal.

He said "did the guy buy some Kefs too?"

I said "yeah"

He said " well that was a combo deal"

I said " go on sell me one for 599?"

He ummed and arred and said "ok":D

well done you - my living room rebuild wont' start until July, and be finished until Nov/Dec, so I'm a way off that. With a bit of luck prices may have started falling again! Wonder of the same guy would fall for it again!

Good luck mate,

It can be "tense" at times! :)

But worth it.

The smile on my kids faces makes it all worth it!!!!!

(the Smile on my face too);)

I take my hat off to you easy.
You have done a fantastic job there and thanks for sharing this project with us all.
Well done mate.

Cheers dude:cool:

I have just installed my HTPC. I hope to have all bits sorted this weekend,

Awaiting my Speaker Brackets so I can mount the rears.

Just little bits and bobs now.

More pics tomo. I have a free weekend to tweak :D

I should have the more pic's this weekend.

I'm waiting on my mate to mount the rear speakers as I have no strength in my right hand. :(

He's doing them Saturday.:)

Can't believe so close to finishing and I screw my hand up causing more delays:mad:

Good stuff easyrider, I'm loving that projector and now really considering one for when we change our lounge later in the year. Your thread has given me a lot of ideas. Glad to see the screen is better located than the one in your car. ;)

:D

Glad you like it mate;)

(Not a Vent in sight);):p
