Easyriders Cinema Room

Stumbled upon this thread and I must say it is awesome, it's like a regular soap opera. Tune in next week, will easyrider decide on an amp and will the paint still cause him trouble........

Dude you are a legend! Thats a monster build. I'm wanna do one.
My missus is gonna hold you very responsible me thinks.:D

It has been a bit of a journey:p

I mentioned this earlier, although it didnt seem to get any notice then.

Also if easyrider is keeping the side walls light silver it may not be dark enough and light up an awfull lot when a projector is in use. That could be potentially annoying.

Personally id recommend testing the PJ before throwing in all the AV and furniture.

The walls are a lot darker than they look in the pics TBH.

The skirting got delivered yesterday and the electrician has said he will be finished at the weekend.

Its a learning curve for me too. I'm a noob at DIY and I am suprised I have got this far with it looking so good tbh. :D

Very impressive Easyrider but I agree with the comments that light coloured paint in an AV room is not a good idea.

You can see from the first pic with the floorlight beaming straight at the wall it should be ok.

At the end of the day if its not I'll just paint them again. No biggy now the walls and ceiling have had 4 coats :p

Quick update although the Onkyo 876's have shot up in price I had a chat with a dealer today and hopefully by tommorow I should be on track to ordering a Onkyo 876 for a crazy price :D

The double HDMI out will be nice to have for TV and projector.:)

Woot,

Electrics all finished! :D

But two of my halogen bulbs don't work :(

Skirting all cut and "mitred" (apologies if this is not a word)

Pics tomo :)

None of this I did myself.

I fell badly on saturday morning on some decking falling 3ft down some stairs hurting my back ,arm and hand.

landed very odd

I can't hold a cup of tea with my right hand :( Literally no strength in it)

Its in a bandage and may get it xrayed if things don't improve tomo. :(

Was gutted...

Good job I had some mates to help me out.:)

Your TV looks a bit small. :D

Looking like it is going to be an awesome room, once it is done you will never leave. Do you have a mini-fridge to keep the drinks cool? :)

TV is for Question time when I need some peace. :p

The Room was not going to have any TV at all. Its not for viewing anything really and was added at a cost of 299inc on top of budget for kicks.

Fridge is a must :D

Not another picture of the screen. People need to read the whole thread :p

Looking forward to how you find the Onkyo 876 and Tannoy's.

As Im poor, I will only be only getting the Onkyo 806 :D

Checked out RS and they dont have the floor standing Tannoy Cutom's anymore on thier site :(

How much did you pay for the 806?

I got my 876 for £599 from RS

And all the speakers for £249

Glad I bought the speakers when I did now. Phew.....They have been in their boxes for a month!
