Can anyone help me.
I have mine with a wireless dongle (realtek chipset no AC Ryans)
I managed to get it to see my Win7 folders I share.
But anything I add new to the drivers shared folder it does not find. But if I delete something that was allready in the folder they are gone on the Playon.
Anyone got any clues.

It was cat5 into a Linksys WRT54GS which is acting as a wireless bridge to another room which has my wireless router going to the phone line. Transfer speeds over the wireless were low when I tried copying a file over so I assumed the playon must be compressing the mkv

Does anyone have the Playon DVR-HD? This looks like an awesome device.

Yep updated mine last night...couldnt see anything of major difference really.
Still waiting on this new GUI, hoping they release it soon

Same here - been using it for a while but doesn't seemed to have changed anything!
The pessimist in me is expecting an announcement from them stating that they can't get GUI 2.0 working correctly on the older devices so we're stuck

I absolutely believe this to be true but I've just setup a 5ghz dual band wireless network in my house and I'm dying to see if it works
Anybody know if any dual band 5ghz dongles work with the AC Ryan Mini.

It needs to be a realtek chip.
I have this one http://www.getnet.eu/products_GN-621U.html but its only connected to my Linksys WRT54G.

That's only 2.4ghz though, not 5ghz.

Trying to get the Movie Jukebox to work with YAMJ. I have ran EMM, I run YAMJ on the PC and aim it at the internal HDD of the Playon. Generates an index file within the folder of where my movies are stored on the Playon.
Go to the Playon, run jukebox, tell it to look on the internal HDD - states 'No HTML index file' ?? But it is clearly there.
What am I doing wrong people?

How do you get the Blu-Ray rips to have a blu-ray cover in YAMJ without having to actually select one for each file?
Running EMM & YAMJ automatically, is there a setting or code or something?

This may or may not help you out, I had a couple of rips that yamj could not find covers for, so what I did was renamed one of my folder.jpgs to the name of the movie and now yamj shows that. Now this is the part that may help you, I also have a HTPC using Mediabrowser as well as playon's in the bedroom and dining room and for all my bluray rips I use a program called stark covers to skin over the standard folder pics to a 3D bluray cover which looks better in Media Browser and this is the image I renamed to the name of the movies that where missing, so now they appear skinned as blurays. There are lots of options and skins with the program.

Thanks for that Holwill, I'll take a look and see what I can do.
So what kind of transfer rates do people get? I seem to be doing something wrong, as when I transfer a file from my PC to the Playon I get about 4.32mb/s which is useless. If I transfer something between my laptop and PC I get about 7.00mb/s so I know it is not the network.
Any ideas?
