eBay - RX6800 eBay Sale Going Wrong

Having a valid point.

There is a difference between having a point, and aggressively asserting your negative worldview, and calling people with a more balanced view gullible and stupid...

I'm sure there must be a reason for you seeing the world this way, and I'm sorry. But I think you are going a little over the top and living life a little too 'cautiously' to be healthy.

You might want to get some help with that. No offence intended.

I never claimed to be robbed.

No?

Have you had experience of this happening?

Yes I have experienced this.

Not confrontational?

Have you been living under a rock for the last 20 years?

Let me know how you get on with that common sense. Clearly you don’t have any

If you want to live in Neverland then crack on

You sound extremely gullible.

You are one person on a forum, why should I believe you.

Can we move on now? :p

This is all totally irrelevant.

In only takes a couple of minutes to copy-paste the info from the manufacturer’s website into the auction listing. I’d argue that is time well spent and a better use of time than debating stuff in a forum. :p

Oh I thought you meant you hand deliver every graphics card you sell... Thats what I was going on about! :p

I listed my card on eBay and it sold almost instantly for £530. I then got an email stipulating that the funds were on hold for a month until such time that eBay could see the item had been despatched and the seller did not open a dispute.

The buyer then redacted on his purchase. Listed on Gumtree instead.

Ironically, eBay business model is built on seller's listing and paying auction fees yet their protection is biased towards the buyers. I understand there has to be protection, but there also has to be common sense

I thought serial number is recorded on the sales invoice from the retailer? So they know if they get stiffed with different card returned scenario. I know my 2080ti did from a competitor.

Never sold anything on eBay, and then had someone want to return it have you....

i stopped selling on ebay years ago. It's not worth it. Gumtree/cash person thesedays. Anyway. The point is made only so the OP can ascertain whether the possibly soon to be returned unit is his or not. Hence me literally saying in my post 'so you can identify it'

Amazing how many people on here are completely clueless on how ebay returns work

As a seller you have 0 rights, if they say its broken and then send you back a completely different card, there is NOTHING you can do to prove they sent you the wrong card back, and no photos or having a serial number wont do ****, because you CAN Not prove that you sent the item in your photo

This is what I would fear the most. Either the buyer saying you sent something else, or them sending something else back.
