EE - 4G

List of launch cities has about 13m people... GB population is like 63m.

Given the finite amount of gear and resource to deploy, I reckon ~20% population coverage is not so bad ;)

What's this Vodafone deal?

Su

Not all launch cities are launch cities. They're by new year cities. It's also not full coverage.

Where did you hear that btw?

I'm fairly sure it is / was on EEs website at some stage.

I know, for example, that Nottingham and Derby are on the "list of 16 cities", but that it isn't getting LTE right away. It's "due before the end of the year".

IIRC there are 10 cities launching right away, with a further six coming before the end of the year.

Its disgusting that Ee have the nerve to think that these price plans will become the norm.

They should be the cheepest 4G provider as they have just used existing bandwith from 2/3G for this 4G "launch".

They have not had to spend billions on buying new bandwidth spectrum from the turned off analog tv signals.

So their costs would be the new masts in the ten citys. Which im sure is not that expensive.

I just hope that voda/02 4G joint venture will equate a good deal for the public.

i say with respect you have no idea what your talking about.

if its that cheap why are the networks not up and running after all it only a few masts?
EE are the cheapest 4g provider ?
have you read the thread at all? the price is not an problem for most its a premium product at the moment, people are unhappy with data usage policy which in fairness is their right

Having spent three hours playing with the Lumia 920 tonight I have to have one.

According to the press event it will be available from November 9th. I want to pre-order as soon as I can.

As for the tariff I should choose... I guess we will have to see what it costs.
