EE - 4G

Been into 3 ee branded stores this morning to see how id go about changing over from my t mobile contract. I already have a lte phone. Not one if them could help which I is pretty awful considering its all over the media this morning!
I was simply told I had to call customer services to get it grrrr

Been on the phone for a whole hour! woooosh!

F&F deals...discount goes down from 50 to 40% and the First months tariff is full price. ****ers

18m contract is £5 extra over 24m contracts...so the 8GB deal for us would cost £56+5 =£61 x 0.6 = £36.60.

We are allowed A 14day cooling-off period - so can switch back to existing contract if 4G isn't for us.

I didn't go through with it but got her to save the details. Will mull it over. I pay £20.50 now...so quite a big jump to £36/m.

HTH.

£36 a month, I'd snap that up! That's what my iphone 3 was all those years ago, although was unlimited data

Awww you poor people only getting 40% off instead of 50% :p

:p

If you can afford £36 a month and would be happy with 8GB allowance and the network coverage then I think you should go for it, all in all it's a good deal. I'd definitely pay them £36 for 8GB and 4G speeds :p. How much did you pay towards the handset?

At least you are being sensible about thinking it over first though, no point rushing into it.

They try all sorts to budge from 50%, I try not to go down that slippery path.

I wouldn't call it a great deal when 3G speeds have improved quite a bit now.

I already upgraded on the 4/10 to an S3 LTE for £40 on a £41/m (read £20.50) 3G 18m contract.

I don't think it's such a great deal for 8GB. As you said no point rushing, the staff weren't fully clued up either...new info and all.

To be fair your current tariff is probably the best value for money. Guess it all revolves around what your predicted data usage habits are going to be. 8GB sounds a lot but if you want start streaming lots of stuff you could find yourself hitting the limit.

Just spoke to someone on 150 about migrating to EE. What a joke! Its anything but seamless. First I'm told 4g isn't available till the end of the year in Croydon but as I only upgraded a week ago, I should cancel my t-mobile contract, go through the hassle of sending my perfectly good note 2 lte back, then 'seamlessly' migrate to EE by signing a new contract! I know we'd have to switch to an EE tariff but this us bonkers considering they are all the same company! What was the point in getting an lte phone upgrade in advanced when I'm going to have to return it just to order the same thing again??!!

Customer service is truly a rarity nowadays.

Can anyone lend me a F&F discount for a new customer please?

I signed up the £46/3GB but I want more but that price is already too much.

PM me if you are so kind and can help me. Thanks.

i say with respect you have no idea what your talking about.

if its that cheap why are the networks not up and running after all it only a few masts?
EE are the cheapest 4g provider ?
have you read the thread at all? the price is not an problem for most its a premium product at the moment, people are unhappy with data usage policy which in fairness is their right

That sounds mad, I thought they just sent you a new SIM card and changed your price plan to be equivalent EE plan? So if you paid £36 on T mobile/Orange you'd pay £36 on EE.

If it is already too much then why are you buying it

Hilarious data limits. They really are living in dream land. I now use my 3 one plan as my main net connection via tethering, for £31/month, at 12mbit average speeds on HSDPA+, with unlimited data! Surely to opt for EE's 4G over this would be moronic.

Depends of you want to download the Internet or not.

500MB is really not a fair amount of data, a couple of years a go it may have been but people are using data more and more nowadays. Would have been more sensible if they'd have started with a 1GB tariff at £36, and okay that still isn't great but I imagine it would cover people who would normally use 500MB or under but would start using more once they're on 4G.
