Patch notes already out for day 1 stuff:

Version 1.01

  • Several functions have been added.
  • Game performance and usability have been improved.
  • Game balance has been adjusted.
  • In addition to the above, various errors have been corrected.
Version 1.02

  • Some errors in the text have been corrected.
  • In addition to the above, various errors have been corrected.
So hopefully does indeed resolve some of the PC performance issue.

TBH like me, I like challenges, but get bored of games where it takes loads of tries, that and dark souls never appealed to me. That said this game looks to be shaping up well and looking at reviewers, most are suggesting its generally easier to play then those games as there is no difficulty level so game and options across the board make it more approachable. Worth a punt IMO given praise its getting.

It'll be as hard as other Dark Souls games, so not really that hard, it's just that most games are braindead easy and handhold too much:p No Dark Souls games had selectable difficulty, you could make Sekiro harder by doing certain stuff but that game was a bit harder than the rest From stuff anyway.

I have just read some reviews and they have said its the most accessible souls game yet so i will buy it.

I'm a little concerned about pc performance, with the lack of uw ready. But if its bad, I'll just stick to the ps5 version until a community patch comes out for uw and the performance issues are solved.

With that said, I'm beyond excited for this! I can't wait.

Agreed. Never even considered dark souls games, but I like the look of this enough to buy it, plus George Martin having a small input also interested me.

For £25 ill enjoy it enough to get my monies worth even if it's just a few days playing and done.

I think what they meant by accessible is that there are more bonfires and open world allows you to try different areas before you progress so yeah, but some reviews mentioned there's some of the hardest stuff in the franchise here IIRC.

Absolutely try it, as I've said these games aren't impossible, I just don't want people who haven't played Souls before jumping in and getting off put because some reviews said ER is more accessible. It'll undoubtedly be a hard game compared to typical mainstream stuff so approach it with that mindset.

The haters wont come til after release once they have some "ammo" that it "runs like ****" , crashes all the time, has terrible mouse and keyboard controls, has x and y bugs and/or crashes on launch. Most of the haters on forums at the moment are moaning about the 60fps cap.

Now the embargo has been lifted and reviews are out I've seen 2 reviews saying perfomance is bad on pc compared to PS5 (most likely due to DRM protection)
