The definition of a game and it's very reason for existing, is to impart enjoyment. If you find a game infuriatig to play, then stop playing. I do laugh at the Dark Souls elitist attitude of, "finally a game that doesn't hold your hand and is actually difficult". They confuse difficult with unforgiving and look down on people who "don't get it". "Wow you are so cool and a real inspiration", said no one ever to a nerd for beating a video game.
What are you doing in this thread, tbh? You spew nonsense that's already been disproved and you're clearly not a fan of the formula. Some people do find enjoyment and satisfaction in Soulsborne games, you're not any different from those elitists, just on the other side of the extreme.
Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro are among the fairest games I've ever played in terms od difficulty.
DS3 was even too easy. They do get overboard very occasionally and can get frustrating but many other games do as well.
What does "difficult" mean for you, then? How can a game be difficult and challenging while forgiving your mistakes as well? What is so unforgiving about Soulsborne? That it requires learning moves and good timing? The very definition of "challenging" then, isn't it? Should it also forgive you for screwing up your dodge timing or for charging in at wrong times?
Go try any competitive fighting game, like Tekken for example, you'll learn what "unforgiving" really means when you have to learn top moves from 50 chars while knowing their framedata and spend hundreds of hours working on movement. Then you die in two well-placed combos.
There's nothing to brag about but there's also no reason to spew nonsense because you suck at Soulsborne and somehow think you know that everyone mistakes "difficult" for "unforgiving", lol.
