*** Elden Ring ***

I'm at Godrick, and I can tell that's my game over as there's no way I'll defeat that. It's just insanely difficult.

30hrs out of it isn't the worst VFM, but it's time to put it down - I'm amazed I got that far TBF. :p

What level are you? He kicked my ass a few times then I just summoned the warrior outside and called my wolves. Then it took about 3 tries. I'm around lvl 40.

I use a great épée and stab stab stab.

Have found a way to unlock the 60fps, widescreen support FOV - does require you to play offline only though as EAC needs turning off. But this could be due to the other options available.

This has been a game changer for me. Not the FPS unlock as that just cause frame hitching but the option to retain runes has enabled me to level up as I learn. It really should be a basic option for the game.

Godrick now long gone and I'm progressing through the lakes at level 55 :)

I agree, there is no difficulty setting and loss of runes would usually be on hardest setting or equivalent of 'no saves'. PArticlularly when you traverse the mist to something that is waaaay too powerful and killing everything to get to the end boss. I'm level 55 too, still cant even beat that git at roundtable hold so I can get the blacksmith to sort out my gear. Gonna do him tonight -- haven't done godrick yet - done a few easy bosses out in the open you can run away from, but even in Limgrave still finding new areas.

Only worked out what those ghostly tall candle sticks do last night . I like the game is difficult and makes you think about each confrontation - but that rune loss - had some late night swear words when I messed up - the slight delay in the dodge/roll is very annoying - like if the opponent has started their move - you don't move.

60hrs already.

did they patch that in?

I ask as I played a little on the X, but not yet on the PC (have it installed atm).

...

Pressing E to tranverse the mist to get a whoopin' and not go back to get your runes coz you just aint levelled enough may help with keeping folk interested if rune loss.

Use the app to launch the game - much more comfortable not locked to 60 fps. It doesn't overwrite any game files

What the hell?

Guitar now...what's next? Wii fitness board?

A real 6 strings guitar, not the guitar hero game controller too.

Finally finished Seikro, and now begins my journey to become the Elden Lord.

The gameplay is a lot slower in Elden ring than Seikro, so that is going to take some getting use. The bosses really hold their attacks for along time, so i need to curb my twitchy reactions.

My plan is to have a dual wield build with either Katanas or curved swords (or something else similar). I started off as the Samurai class.

How does it have enough"buttons" for her to play the game?

It’s not buttons, it seems she’s doing it via software where certain frequencies = certain key or keys. So she is essentially playing music notes for moves. E minor = attack or G major to roll, or E flat to go left. The software isn’t perfect either, if you’ve ever used a guitar pedal like an octave pedal where it reads the frequency input, sometimes it can be off. So she picked frequencies far away from each other so the software don’t get them confused as easily.

I have no idea how she is controlling the camera…I suspect she can’t.

Wow, this is going to be a crazy run.

Because she's done every thing else, 1 handed, wrong handed, dance pad, dual instances etc, and because she marches to the beat of her own drum which is allways entertaining.
I guess many wouldnt find it as entertaining if she was a 24 stone Waynetta Slob lookalike, or maybe I've just become overly cynical about streamers :D

I can'tt deny that helps :p....but what she has done and is doing is very impressive.

She is also not picking single notes, but using chords. She also says there is no way to press 2 keys at once, meaning no ashes and no summons.
