Elden Ring

Funny the discussion on difficulty. I beat a story boss on my first attempt just, no idea if it's just an easy one or what but it definitely didn't feel anywhere near as satisfying as a 30-attempter.

Just ran into the Fire Giant! :o

well technically his shield, then the sole of his foot, then fire..... at level 130 but I think I might go explore and level up some more :)

Which one? Some of them are easier than others anyway, and some are just easier with certain build types than others. There's some bosses for example that don't have a lot of health so you can probably take them out with 4 or 5 charged R2's pretty reasonably on a story playthrough unless you encounter them very early, but they have a lot of mobility and very few openings which makes getting those few hits in very difficult without leaving yourself open to their attacks.

Radahn post patch is way too easy now too. If you can beat all the open world enemies before getting to him, you can beat him in one go pretty comfortably.

Is it best to follow the grace site guidance path very early game or am I better just exploring anywhere to try and level up some?
If you follow them you will die

A lot!

level up first and get some good gear, talismans and spells :)

Did him on the first go, as long as you have scarlot rot you just hit him a few times and watch the other guys take him out

I found at some point you will naturally hit a wall if you follow them at which point you’ll probably want to wander off for some levels and gear. It’s pretty open ended but you will know pretty quickly if you’re not meant to be somewhere yet as you will die a horrible and swift death lol

Cheers, will follow it for a while as want to get the horsey.

I'm on my second playthrough and still finding so many things I didn't see in my first. I can see myself replaying this for quiet sometime.

I've got this on Xbox now as well (dont ask). It loads slower than PS5 but otherwise the same. I was determined to try a new build and yet I've regressed back to magic.
Found two new talismans right at the start I missed before.

I just started this and still getting the gripe with all the names and labels.

What's a Talisman? Difference to a spell attack to a summon (Ashes?)
