Energy Prices (Strictly NO referrals!)

we've not had netflix monthly for years, once or twice a year at most
I did get disney+ for the first year as it was on discount, but that will also now go on the "one month a year" list

we only have amazon because of the free delivery but that will be going soon too

It's not the price of netflix it's the lack of good content that makes it poor value, have now used a frew free trials concurrantly on tidal/qobuz/applemusic;
equally we don't need next day delivery of Prime or it's more limited video choice.

Broadband is the heavy hitter anyway at ~£30/pm - would like a deal that includes that and a phone data package,
it is probably not coincidental that tv adverts(which exist on services like sky go too) the comparison services are advertising their broadband option, with energy no longer a money spinner.

The great switch off - madness, as commented, have the broadsheets mocked it ? we haven't got unecessary stuff running anyway
turning the fridge off overnight madness too - ours has a thermostat so only turns on when needed, and no one, I know of, is opening the door during the night.

Just subscribe once every 3 months or something like that.

Not really how I do things. Awhile back binned off NowTV due to price rise and introducing ads, Netflix getting pretty close to going the same way especially with the video quality degradation - albeit that is increasingly becoming par for the course with streaming services.

The hoops you so often have to jump through to get 4K is boring me as well especially on the Windows desktop...

I just have now tv for the free features ,use it on my dumb panny plasma for all the free catch up and app channels ,too many to mention youtube , red bull channel, ted talks, go pro ,ect Also wait for the deals, doing the entertainment pack for £1 month at the moment ,also borrow Netflix from family but this may change i hear

bought an hmdi 2.1 adapter a few years ago and voila - 4k on desktop for netflix. Not the others amazon prime though :(

For the first time in years I'm thinking of ditching netflix too.

Again. It's not the price.

Recently there has been no new content I'm really interested in. I am having to 'hunt' for stuff. And rewatching old things.
It's a shame as I'm a big netflix fan.

Will Probably try Disney+ for a while.

I expect netflix etc will experience significant falls in subscribers with cost of living. But for me it's lack of good new content

have never contemplated cooling in the UK

bought an hmdi 2.1 adapter a few years ago and voila -
problem there was that streaming sticks like roku don't scale 4K content to the 2560x1440 typical desktop

I think netflix originals has some great stuff, but the 3rd party content has dwindled plus they now make an effort to stop us using the USA version which has way more content.

The idea of doing it once every 3-6 months is a good one, as when I do use netflix it tends to be binge watch sessions.

I've heard this as well but not sure how it would be enforced, surely you pay for a sub that can be used anywhere. I use data on my phone sometime so ip address wouldn't work.
