Energy Suppliers

Prices are rising everywhere so does it really matter who you go with?

Of course it does. I left Bulb for a cheaper fixed tariff. If i had done nothing it would cost me more over the coming year.
Some of us with Bulb were quick at it as well, they announce price increases very early so we got out well before others put there prices up.

Was tempted to switch over to Bulb early this year, but with the number of prices rises they had I decided to go with another provider on a fixed term.

Of course it matters who you go with. Like robj20, I left Bulb before the August price rise for a cheaper fixed deal. Bulb is averaging a price rise every 3 months or so now and yes plenty of others have raised prices as well but the way I see it the prices are only going to keep going up so you may as well find the best fixed deal now and enjoy the savings.

Prices are rising everywhere so does it really matter who you go with? I move into my new house on Saturday and am quite undecided on who to go with. Doing a quote on the likes of Bulb/Octopus/Utility Point/Pure Planet, Pure Planet comes up best by quite a bit. Anyone on here with them care to comment?

if you are moving, you are initially with the energy supplier of the previous occupier,or if a new build the builders will have supply from them.you need to contact the current supplier and tell them you are switching away,if you don't you could land in a bit of a mess.It is a common mistake.

Regarding Pure Planet, I have been with them since March no problems to date.

Thanks Brian. Good to know. Just moved in today and the property is with Eon incl their smart meter. I'll be sure to contact them to let them know I won't be staying with them :)

Just a friendly reminder gang, handing out referrals by trust (when requested) is fine however pimping out your link is not fine as this just causes us to spend more time modding as it proliferates people signing up to then simply pimp out their referral.

I've just started the switch to Outfox the Market, will see what they're like. No idea if they do referrals or not but if they do then please feel free to send me a code via trust.

Well my fix with Eon comes to an end on 6th December so need to start looking for a new provider. Outfox and Bulb are coming out cheapest for me but wondering if there are other alternatives not on the Energy Saving Club (from Money Supermarket)??
