English League & European Football [27th Mar - 1st Apr 2010] **spoilers**

No you haven't always called him Wanger, and just to prove you wrong:

Could you imagine Wenger if that tackle was on an Arsenal player and they didn't get sent off?

This is coming from Arsenal's manager and fans, whom a few years ago got in to trouble for having 11 red cards in a season, and Wenger said that the league needs to toughen up? :p

Thats true.

I always used to like seeing little Ray Wilkins :) he is just a nice bloke and always was happy to be talking about football.

This is Arsenal's problem imo, I think that Arsenal are better then most teams in the league, but the teams that are better then them are Manchester United / Chelsea.

Arsenal or Wenger, needs to splash a bit of cash. Arsenal could be right up in the title race with some additions.

Mr Wenger complaining about something :p

Wenger time !

I think Wenger doesn't want to spend money, and because he knows this close to a World Cup some players won't want to move.

By some players I mean the good ones, who won't want to ruin their chance of a World Cup starting place.

I don't know about Andy Gray not liking Arsenal, he like a lot of other pundits / commentators do like to touch themselves over how Arsenal play the "game the right way" and then will slate Mr Wenger for not buying players.

Andy Gray suffers from a lack of knowledge of anyone that isn't top 4.

Nobody thinks Babel is World Class, but he could become a very good player.

I don't think it's all down to Rafa, I agree he's not as good at bringing through young players as per say Wenger.

Babel not developing is down to Babel as much as it is Rafa, infact more so down to Babel.

The English Premier League really isn't that strong if you're talking about the ability of English talent either Pegeon. That's another arguement.

Of course Fabregas didn't look himself, Barcelona work hard in midfield, always closing down, it wasn't until they tired in the second half that Arsenal came back into it.

You just come across as a child calling him Wanger.

I've seen worse on here, I'd prefer 'Wanger' to the constant misinterpretations of almost everything he says to the press and general distaste towards him for no real reason

Key example, last week he was asked what he thought of the pitch at St. Andrews, he said it wasn't very good (he was being extremely kind there) and the headlines all over the papers have him down as saying the pitch is the reason they drew. Everybody sucked it up and put it down to 'Wenger complaining again'

It's awful

Why not pick up on it before:

Arsenal, meh don't have much of an opinion on them. Find it kinda funny when Wanger complains about things. Esp "tough tackles" when he said a few years ago the league needs to toughen up after his Arsenal side picked up 11 red cards. Wouldn't say I dislike him.

Indeedy. Arsenal fans should remember when they got 11 red cards in a season and Mr Wanger said that the league needs to toughen up, well it has and now he's crying about it. :p

iirc Mr Wanger said it was 16 years ago or something silly like that.

Yes, because Mr Wanger has no idea what he's doing, maybe he made a mistake? Everyone makes mistakes. Fergie has made mistakes.

Has Mr Wanger announced his squad?

I don't know why Arsenal / Mr Wanger is bothering to keep him.

Wanger knows what he's doing. I agree, I like it when Arsenal fans and Manchester United fans think the manager is doing something wrong.

Simple really. You'd think that Wanger would be out there now talking with them, it's the only position Arsenal are desperate for quality in.

You've had ample opportunity to pick up on it before, what took you so long?

No, you're right I've not "always" called him Wanger, I have done a lot though.

Liverpool 11:
------------Reina
Johnson--Carra-Agger--Insua
--------Lucas-Masch
Kuyt-------Gerrard------Babel
------------Torres

Only change from the weekend is Lucas in for Maxi, who's cup-tied.

Really can't see Arsenal winning at the Nou Camp without Fab. Saying that I didn't see them coming back from 2-0 down so who knows... Should be good.

1939: Now. Some of you are worried I have spelt the Fulham manager's name wrong (see 1932). Thanks for the kind messages, but I have deliberately spelt it phonetically. Should I spell anything else wrong deliberately, feel free to text on 81111 (UK) or +44 7786200666 (world), go to 606, or Twitter.

Caroline Cheese continues to be an idiot.
