English League & F.A. Cup Football [19th - 24th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

Utter utter **** 2nd half performance, As much as Gerrard did naff all so did every one else. Rafa im sorry can go sod off he does subs far too late, Aquaman should have started imo and so should benayoun would give us better creativity.

Mash/Lucas both do the same job and today didnt even do that well =( Also if any one noticed Rafa smiled atleast 3 times on skysports ca not sure as we werent doing well!!

And rumours of Benayoun/Riera could be going well yeah that will help our very limited squad

Bloody Liverspuds

Fixed;):p

Shame really as i thought Liverpool might have got a result but Gerrard doing **** all and their incessant need for long ball football meant liverpool werent going to win this by any means.

Oh well can only hope Blackburn get a result against Chelski as much as thats unlikely:p.

Are you being serious?

Even other Mancs have said it was outside the box.

Dont pay any attention to him Baz...wearing those Utd tinted glasses has a funny effect on people.

Personally shouldnt have been a penalty but meh the ref gave it and theres not much you can do about it...just the way the cookie crumbles i suppose lol.

Oh please it was a penalty plain and simple

I'm sorry, but unless the penalty area starts 25 yards out from goal it was never a penalty. Valencia was fouled, but threw himself down into the box. Never a pen.

Gerrard, woeful. Where will he be playing for next season? In Spain or Italy?

Yet again Webb was woeful.

So if the foul starts outside the box and ends up in the box is it a pen or not. When decisions appear to go against you, you seem to know the rules of football better than Adrian Bevington, Sir Trevor Brooking, Pele and Franz Beckenbauer combined

what a header :) PArk's first header for United?

Lot's of contentious issues from the game, Torres should face a fine/ban for that little incident but of course he's a Liverpool player so nothing will happen.

Isnt Webb also supposed to be one of our better ref`s? Most ref`s need to go back to ref school or re-take what ever exams they have to do as most of them do crap at it every weekend.

The foul didn't end up in the box Loki. I know you're a lot older than me so your eye sight might not be as good as mine :p

No pen. It's from where the foul was committed, or in this case, started.

Good result for Man Utd, pressure on Chelsea to deliver now :)

The Man Utd-Chelsea game is going to be fantastic in terms of the implications - could well be the game that decides the Premiership :)

Could be wrong of course, but I have always been taught that a penalty goes upon where the foul is originally committed , rather than where the foul ends. So to answer the question, if the foul starts outside the box and ends up in the box, it isnt a pen.

We had a similar pen go against us against City in the Carling Cup the foul started outside of the area but Bellamy went down inside it's just a simple fact of football that when that happens no ref is going to bring play back to where the foul started

It went against us in that game and went for us today

It by no means though was the turning point in the game, we were just better
