English League Football [6th - 10th Feb 2010] **spoilers**

The thing is people are using the stat to show Rooney's ridiculously brilliant goal scoring, rather than what it really says, Ronaldo was a fantastic high scoring midfielder and Rooney's scoring at the rate you'd expect for a striker, nothing more or less.

I'll dig it out again, Rooney has consistently out scored every other striker in the league bar one good year for each of them since he got to united.
I've posted the stats before, every year bar one for each of Drogba, Adebarndoor, Anelka, and I think for Torres as well, despite not being played as a striker.
Despite your strange obsession with ignoring what is biting you on the arse, Rooney is better than all of them and always has been.

Even Henry? I dont remember him doing better than him to be honest.

I never have liked Rooney for some reason. He always comes across as a nasty little troll who falls over too much.

If i had the choice of him or Torres. I would have Torres every time.

Watched the highlights of the Liverpool/Everton game and I struggle to remember a performance as deplorable than that of Gerrard's, the diving, the two footed lunge at Pienaar (albeit who shouldn't of been on the pitch as it is), just shocking!

As for Fellaini had Kyrgiakos not lunged in in the first place then Fellaini's wouldn't of looked that bad at all. I think a red for Kyrgiakos was the correct decision.

Like I said though the Pienaar 'tackle' on Mascherano was shocking and should have been a straight red, but that doesn't detour from Gerrard's lunge on him nor his pathetic dive to get him sent off

Fellaini and Kyrgiakos should both have got a red for that challenge imo, can't remember the last challenge where that should have been the outcome!

We are going to get ab-so-lutely taken apart today. Really not confident at all. :(

Arsenal win 6 - 0, take my word for it. Terry to have a meltdown on the pitch and break Drogba's leg

In reality, no Essien, he's a monster vs Arsenal in every game, without him, Arsenal's chances rise by about 20%. If Arsenal are in the mood it'll be a cracking game, if not then Chelsea will steam roll it in the same fashion as they did before, defend and counter, defend and counter etc. very effective game plan.

Can't see anything but a regulation win for Chelsea today. Would love to be surprised but... at the Bridge...cannot see it.

If Arsenal get smashed they need to start looking behind them rather than in front.

Lose today and on weds then it's not looking good at all.

If results go our way today and we have a good game against Arse on wed, then its not just the race for 4th that might be wide open.

You should be concerning yourself more with AV and Man City more than 3rd place imo, in a flash you could easily be back in 6th (because its that close)

Essien is such a great player any teams's chance against Chelsea rise dramatically (20-30%)

Arsenal usually play very well at the Bridge dont they , havent you won your last three EPL games there or something?(the way Arsenal are currently playing it would be a miracle to get a draw, but Im sure I read somewhere historically you get decent results)

I'd love an Arsenal win, but in reality I think it's as likely as Almunia getting a hat trick.
Spurts my coke everywhere!!!!

(a hat trick of own goals is quite likely though!!!)

We did have a great record against Chelski a few seasons ago. Something like 19 games in a row without a loss but its not been good reading over the last few seasons.

I can see us putting up a good show and getting the chances but ending up losing badly. I hope im wrong but wasnt planning on enjoying motd tonight :(

Arsenal have come out with some very defeatist remarks this week. Between Arshavin and Wenger I don't know who is more negative about Arsenal's chances at the title/trophies this season.
