Epic Games Store now open!

also there is the fact that the last borderlands game was also a bit "meh" so much so i dont even think about it when thinking borderlands.

That's a shame, I'm playing it currently and I think The Pre-Sequel is now slightly better than Borderlands 2 for at least three reasons -
i) air boosting/slamming
ii) no arsing about with s-lag
iii) cryo effects

But as for Borderlands 3, I'm happy to wait to see how it performs on PS4 Pro. I need that split-screen co-op which I don't think the PC version will have.

An E3 update on their fortnightly free game giveaways that they started late last year...

In case you missed it, we’ve been offering a free game every week during the Epic Mega Sale.

Good news - we’re extending that offer through the rest of the year! That’s right: a free game every week for the rest of 2019. And remember, once you pick up a free game from the Epic Games store, it’s yours to keep.

Yesterday I saw first hand the craze of fortnite and epic games store among children at my nephews party. It made me doubt steam's future unless they get off their asses and properly compete.

Were they playing on PC? Most of the kids in my family play Fortnite but it's on console so they won't be aware of the Epic Games Store itself. Just the mini-store inside Fortnite for purchasing Vbucks and stuff, so that has no bearing on Steam.

They've had to change your library layout to accommodate all these freebies. :p I'm doing pretty well, the only one I haven't added so far is For Honor (Starter Edition) but that's because I already had it with Uplay.

I'm guessing Arkham Knight here also has all the DLC included as it's not on sale to buy separately?

Hopefully this means they’ll finish with some nice titles. There’s only about 8 weeks left unless they decide to keep it going for more than the 52 weeks they originally said.

Its funny because steam already did games for great prices and now theres serious competition we could see games becoming affordable on a whole new level

if anything, Steam are putting prices up. Some of the games on my wish list have been there for years waiting for the price to drop to my chosen level but it isn’t happening.

So by my reckoning, there are only 8 more giveaways to go. They did say they were only doing it for a year. Maybe they will keep going for longer. Either way, if the end is 12th December, I hope they go bonkers and give away loads in one week (come on, it's Christmas!) or have some nearly-new AAA game.

Hehehehe, crumbled after 3 months and bought Borderlands 3. Performance is very choppy on PS4 in the menus so I'm hoping it is much betta on PC. Only bought the base game though.
