Epic Games Store now open!

I'm curious, does the Epic launcher use 10% - 13% cpu usage sitting idle on the desktop for anyone else?

I wanted to pop my cherry for Epic with RDR2 for £26 but decided not to because I have no idea when I'll get round to playing it and by then it might be cheaper, I did try looking for something to take advantage of the £10 voucher but nothing really taking my fancy :(

Same here, there's nothing much that appeals to me, well, that meets the requirements of the voucher anyway.

I did briefly consider Mortal Shell though I think I'd be spending for the sake of it.

Edit: went for Borderlands 3 in the end.

I was tempted to first use the voucher on Metro Exodus, but I won't have a PC capable of running it properly for a few more months, so guess I'll wait for the summer sale and collect even more free games in the meantime :D

The way the price keeps coming down on that one it will be free at some point

Ryzen 3700X here and only just over 2% CPU useage with Epic Launcher in the foreground.

Mine is 4% but it still drops temps when you dont run it. Just did it again, 4% Epic, 40c, close Epic, dropped to 32c.
