Think will wait to see how it progresses. Hope in time they implement things like deathcam, reporting players and fixing desynch. Atm it's early days so any 'cheater' report thread gets locked down very quick. £30 lot to ask for unfinished game.

Doesn't work atm. ReShade can be used to add it.
For anyone having fps issues turn off SSR, even having it on 'low' is a 20% - 25% hit to fps. It's clearly not optimised as 'medium' and 'high' are exactly the same hit.

I thought surround sound headphones were a gimmick. Are they headphones with like 5 inputs or something?
This game definitely needs a lot of optimization. My GPU and CPU usage low yet my FPS can drop as low as 50 with all settings maxed (3840x1600). I've noticed the LOD slider can have huge FPS impacts. I think one of these graphics settings is causing my game to crash quite frequently.

The ReShade aa definitely works, I use it. Surround sound is a massive issue though, especially in a game where sound is so important.

I don't see how you could play EFT without headphones. Would put you at quite a disadvantage.
Yeh i do agree with you actually, but im 54 years old, and these days i play for pure fun, back in my competitive days i would never play without a headset
Played the 7 day trial and loved it, felt like PUBG and the Division had a baby with Stalker.
I would buy it straight away but 2 maps from the 4 available were unplayable for me performance was that bad, if and when they address this i will buy straight away, never played a game with this much tension before.
Someone said above that PUBG is for kids by comparison , i tend to agree but i still love PUBG.
My games library is full of realism shooters,arma,red orchestra,rising storm,insurgency,day of infamy to name a few so i love how brutal this game can be.
Fix the performance and im allover it as my go to game, also it needs better starting gear for new players or maybe a very basic set of gear that one can never lose.

I just wish Tarkov was a little solo friendly. Having half the players on the entire raid map in the same group together seems like a strange design decision to me. If they can keep out the cheaters, will be superior to PUBG.

I know what you mean. Solo play I'm loath to take anything more than a pistol and backpack into a raid, duo or above I'll rock full gear without a second thought.
Got the game running a bit better, mostly seems down to a memory leak though and only having 8gb means I need to restart the game after every few raids.
Managed to play around with a few guns now and enjoying it a bit more. Having an optic makes life so much easier compared to iron sights. Night and day difference for me personally.
Oh yes,no optics-no matter what weapon you use basically,and thats why optics gone in matter of seconds after "shops" refresh.
If any fancy some duo or even bigger group im up to that,dont have much good gear as not much time to play due to work,but group is better than solo

As a SCAV with a shotgun I find a guy standing up and looting a body, sneak up behind him, put a shotgun blast right into the back of his head, he runs away, I put three shotgun blasts in his back as he runs away, he turns around and kills me in two bullets. Does this sort of nonsense happen routinely in this game?
