still looking for a multi story rss widget program.. really want one

also i have had to uninstall a pay for app because its useless, but too late for a refund, was ok at the start..Weather & Toggle Widget .. used it for its nice translucent flip colock and sense like effects..
back to the old yr.no widget.. which works fine.. wish i could customize it :/

Weather and Toggle did that to me as well. A few weeks ago it was great but now it never updates, Fancy Widget does the same for free and works fine.

So what is everyones recommendation for a mp3 player? I use mine in the car so I would like one which can keep the screen on.

Thanks

I use Tune Wiki and you can use a different app to keep the screen on (Extended Controls has a nice widget which has it).

Found this :D

In 2.2 froyo you have the chrome to phone feature, well now it's available for 2.1, don't have to be rooted or have any custom firmwares on your mobile etc. :D. Only works for google chrome browser at the minute, some people are working on a firefox extension.

Works great, quite handy as well.

How do you actually use chrome to phone. I've got it installed on defrost and have Google Chrome although only ever use FireFox. I've registered the phone but that's as far as I have got

Also anyone remember the name of the app that could import FireFox bookmarks into your phone.

1. Install android app
2. Install browser extension
3. (Think this is necessary) Click on tools (spanner icon) on top right below the "exit" button in chrome browser, click on "extensions" and then click on "options" for the "LinkPush" extension and log in and you can close that tab if you want
4. Make sure that on your mobile you are signed into the same google mail account that your using on the PC as well
5. Load up any page you want on your chrome browser on the pc and click the "LinkPush" button on the toolbar in the chrome browser, you will see a wee red bar on the icon and then a red bar saying "Sent"
6. Choose the "LinkPush" application on your mobile and the browser should open immediately, loading the webpage that you sent

Hope this helps :)

Firefox extension also exists, you can right click links and send to phone etc and have toolbar button to send active page.

Is there a keyboard just like the iPhone one? Also a browser like Safari? Got to have a little more of an indepth play with my friends and he had a different keyboard and browser installed, neither of which were as good as the iPhone alternatives. But as they're customisable is there something out there that is?

htc_ime keyboard is nice, however i really like the defult android one. I've found it to be as fast as the iphone one was for typing. (i found the iphone one superb btw, im not slagging it off)

browser wise somepople have made mods for the defult one (which imo is awesome) allowing fullscreen, removal of the zoom buttons etc to give a better web view

The main things I'm concerned about with the browser is more the useage rather than the features. When I first got my iPhone I was always two finger zooming in and out of the page clicking on links, now I just double tap to zoom to a given column or section and can 99 times out of 100 hit the right link just because the screen is so accurate. The browser I was using when doubletapping reformatted the page content (which was just whack), and wasn't as accurate with zoomed out taps. Does the standard browser behave in this way?

I feel like I'm trying to come up with excuses and should just bloody buy one already (Desire)- I'm not paying for an iPhone 4 regardless and they have blocked us 3G users off from any new apps as OS4 brings an already slow phone to it's knees. Plus after the handling of the Antenna thing I don't really want to give them anymore of my money!

Actually it's not that the iPhone screen is particularly accurate. Apples touch interface layer does 2 clever things:

1 - Always assumes you pressed too low, as it is natural to do this so you can still see where you are pressing.

2 - Snaps onto the nearest clickable button. It sensibly assumes that you're not going to press on a useless part of the screen and actually meant to press something.
